Targettack Llc Targettack Orange Polycarbonate Plastic 1″/3″ For Paper/Vinyl Targets 12 Pack *Variety promises to alleviate that frustration, offering a reusable and durable solution for securing targets.
As an outdoor and tactical gear specialist with over a decade of experience, I’ve seen countless target-mounting methods come and go. I was particularly drawn to the Targettack system for its promise of versatility and reusability. The bright orange color also piqued my interest, hoping it would enhance visibility.
Upon receiving the Targettack Llc Targettack Orange Polycarbonate Plastic 1″/3″ For Paper/Vinyl Targets 12 Pack *Variety, my initial impression was positive. The polycarbonate plastic felt robust and durable, a significant upgrade from the flimsy cardboard and stapled solutions I was used to. The pack includes both 1″ and 3″ sizes, suggesting a versatile application for various target types.
Before discovering Targettack, I mainly relied on staples and tape to secure my targets. While cheap, these methods are unreliable, especially in windy conditions. I also considered using clothespins, but they often lack the necessary grip and break easily. The Targettack system seemed a more refined and dependable alternative.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism. The material felt promising, and the dual-size offering was a definite plus, but the true test would be how well they performed under real-world conditions. I was eager to see if they lived up to the hype and could become a permanent fixture in my range bag.
Real-World Testing: Putting Targettack Llc Targettack Orange Polycarbonate Plastic 1″/3″ For Paper/Vinyl Targets 12 Pack *Variety to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the Targettack Llc Targettack Orange Polycarbonate Plastic 1″/3″ For Paper/Vinyl Targets 12 Pack *Variety at my local shooting range. The weather was slightly windy, presenting an ideal opportunity to assess their holding power. I used the 1″ Targettacks to secure standard paper targets and the 3″ versions for larger vinyl targets.
The Targettacks proved remarkably easy to use. Simply push the pins through the target and into the target backer. They held the targets securely, even when subjected to moderate gusts of wind.
I did encounter a slight issue when using the 3″ Targettacks on a particularly thick cardboard backer. The longer pins sometimes struggled to penetrate fully, requiring a bit more force. Despite this minor hiccup, the initial experience was largely positive.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, the Targettack Llc Targettack Orange Polycarbonate Plastic 1″/3″ For Paper/Vinyl Targets 12 Pack *Variety continues to perform well. I’ve used them in various weather conditions, including rain and sunshine. They’ve consistently held targets securely, regardless of the environment.
The polycarbonate plastic has proven to be exceptionally durable. I’ve yet to notice any signs of wear or tear, even after repeated use. The bright orange color has also remained vibrant, making it easy to spot the Targettacks when collecting them after a shooting session.
Cleaning and maintaining the Targettacks is a breeze. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris. This contrasts sharply with staples, which often require pliers to remove and can leave behind rust stains.
Compared to my previous methods of target mounting, the Targettack system is a clear winner. It’s more reliable, more durable, and significantly less frustrating than staples or tape. I’m confident that the Targettacks will remain a staple (pun intended) in my range gear for the foreseeable future.
