Live Free Armory LF Elite Series Glock RMR Cover Review

First Impressions of Live Free Armory LF Elite Series Glock RMR Cover

The Live Free Armory LF Elite Series Glock RMR Cover is a seemingly simple, yet crucial component for anyone running an RMR on their Live Free Armory Elite series slide. It’s a small piece of metal with a big job: protecting the delicate electronics of your red dot sight from the elements and the inevitable bumps and bruises of daily carry or heavy use. The Manufacturer, Live Free Armory, boasts tight tolerances and enhanced performance, promising a perfect fit and reliable protection.

My journey to finding this RMR cover started after scratching the lens of my Holosun 507C while training in some dense brush. I needed something to add a bit more protection to my optic without significantly increasing the profile of my pistol. I’d considered other options like sealing plates, but the Live Free Armory LF Elite Series Glock RMR Cover seemed like the ideal solution, particularly given that I already own a Live Free Armory slide.

Upon unboxing, the first thing that struck me was the clean, Cerakote finish and the seemingly precise machining. The cover felt solid and well-made, a reassuring sign of quality. Compared to some universal RMR covers I’ve seen, this one appeared to be a much tighter, more integrated solution.

Initially, I was optimistic; the promise of a perfect fit for my Live Free Armory slide and the added protection for my RMR was exciting. If it lived up to the hype, it would be a small investment that would save me a lot of grief down the road.
