Wicked Hunting Lights 18650 Rechargeable Batteries Review

Let’s Talk About Wicked Hunting Lights 18650 Rechargeable Batteries

The Wicked Hunting Lights 18650 Rechargeable Batteries are a crucial component for any serious hunter relying on powerful illumination in the field. These batteries, manufactured by Wicked Hunting Lights, promise reliable power and extended run times, vital for those long nights tracking game or setting up blinds before dawn. They come as a pair, complete with a storage case, ensuring they stay protected when not in use.

My older hunting light was beginning to dim far too quickly, cutting my hunts short. I needed a reliable power source that wouldn’t let me down when I was miles from civilization. The Wicked Hunting Lights 18650 Rechargeable Batteries seemed like the perfect solution.

Upon unboxing, the batteries felt solid and well-constructed. The included storage case is a nice touch, preventing accidental discharge or damage. Compared to generic 18650 batteries I’ve used in the past, these seemed more robust and specifically designed for the high demands of hunting lights.

I considered other brands like Streamlight and Olight, but Wicked Hunting Lights‘ reputation within the hunting community swayed me. The promise of a protected circuit and a decent mAh rating at this price point felt like a good value. I was cautiously optimistic but definitely excited to put them to the test.

Real-World Testing: Putting Wicked Hunting Lights 18650 Rechargeable Batteries to the Test

First Use Experience

I tested the Wicked Hunting Lights 18650 Rechargeable Batteries during a week-long hog hunt in the Texas Hill Country. Nights were cool and often damp, providing a good range of conditions. I primarily used them in my Wicked Hunting Lights W403IC light, scanning fields for movement after dark.

The batteries performed admirably, providing consistent power throughout the evenings. I was impressed by the runtime, easily getting 4+ hours on high intensity, much better than my old generic cells. There were no noticeable issues even in the damp conditions.

The batteries were easy to install and use, requiring no adjustments. After the first hunt, I noticed the light’s beam intensity remained strong for a long time, suggesting a stable power output. No immediate issues arose, leaving me satisfied with their initial performance.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several months of use, the Wicked Hunting Lights 18650 Rechargeable Batteries have proven to be reliable. I’ve used them in temperatures ranging from below freezing during late-season deer hunts to sweltering heat while predator calling. There have been no significant dips in performance.

Durability has been excellent; the batteries show no signs of physical wear and tear, even after being repeatedly charged and discharged. The storage case keeps them protected in my gear bag. Cleaning is unnecessary as there are no parts requiring special attention.

Compared to my previous experience with cheaper, unprotected batteries, these Wicked Hunting Lights batteries are a clear upgrade. They outperform in both runtime and consistent power output. I feel much more confident heading out into the field knowing I have a reliable power source.
