Real-World Testing: Putting We Knife Co Ltd Subjugator Folding Knife to the Test

First Use Experience

My first field test of the We Knife Co Ltd Subjugator Folding Knife took place during a weekend camping trip in the Appalachian Mountains. I used it for a variety of tasks, including preparing food, building a small fire, and making some minor gear repairs. The environment was relatively dry, but the temperatures dipped into the low 40s overnight.

The knife performed admirably in these conditions, with the carbon steel blade providing excellent cutting power and edge retention. I found the Subjugator easy to use, though the handle’s smooth texture took a bit of getting used to when wearing gloves. There were no immediate issues, but I noticed that the blade required a quick wipe down after cutting acidic foods to prevent potential staining.

After several months of regular use, the We Knife Co Ltd Subjugator Folding Knife has proven to be a reliable and capable tool. The carbon steel blade shows minimal signs of wear, retaining its sharpness even after repeated use on tough materials. I make sure to oil the blade after each use.

The carbon fiber handle remains in excellent condition, with no cracking or chipping. Maintenance has been relatively simple, requiring only occasional cleaning and lubrication of the pivot point.
