Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light Review

The Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light Made a Bold First Impression

The Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light promises a compact and potent aiming and illumination solution for one of the most popular concealed carry pistols on the market. As someone who prioritizes accuracy and rapid target acquisition, I was eager to see if this device lived up to the hype surrounding the Viridian name. I’ve relied on laser/light combos for years in both professional and recreational settings, and I was looking for a streamlined option that wouldn’t add significant bulk to my Sig P365.

I had been searching for a reliable light and laser combo for my Sig P365 to enhance its low-light capabilities for home defense scenarios. Previously, I used a separate weapon light and laser, which was cumbersome and negatively impacted concealability. The compact design and integrated features of the Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light seemed like the perfect solution.

Upon unboxing, the Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light felt surprisingly solid and well-built. The polymer housing appeared durable, and the unit’s weight was negligible, adding minimal heft to the P365. The fit was snug and secure, seamlessly integrating with the pistol’s frame.

I considered options from Streamlight and Crimson Trace, but the Viridian‘s INSTANT-ON technology and integrated rechargeable battery system ultimately swayed my decision. The others felt bulky, and I didn’t like having to replace batteries frequently. The Viridian C5L seemed like a more modern and practical choice.

My first impression was overwhelmingly positive; the Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light appeared to be a well-engineered and thoughtfully designed accessory. I was excited to test its performance at the range and in low-light conditions. It felt like a premium product that offered genuine advantages over other similar devices.

Real-World Testing: Putting Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light to the Test

First Use Experience

My initial testing took place at an indoor shooting range, focusing on both accuracy and ease of use. I evaluated the Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light at distances ranging from 7 to 25 yards, simulating typical self-defense scenarios. The green laser was remarkably visible, even under the bright range lights, allowing for quick and precise target acquisition.

The 550-lumen tactical light provided ample illumination, easily identifying targets in dimly lit areas of the range. Activation was intuitive via the ambidextrous controls, and I was able to quickly switch between laser-only, light-only, and laser/light combo modes. There were no malfunctions or any sort of operational issues from the start.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several months of regular use, the Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light has proven to be remarkably durable and reliable. I’ve carried it daily and used it during several low-light training sessions without any issues. There has been no noticeable wear or tear on the housing, and the laser and light continue to function flawlessly.

Maintaining the Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light is simple; I wipe it down with a clean cloth after each use and occasionally clean the lens with a lens cleaner. The rechargeable battery system is incredibly convenient, and the SafeCharge Power Bank ensures I always have a fully charged battery ready to go. It’s a significant improvement over having to replace batteries constantly.

Compared to my previous experience with a separate light and laser setup, the Viridian C5L Custom Sig P365 Laser/Light is a game-changer. It’s more compact, more reliable, and significantly easier to use. It has exceeded my expectations in every way.
