Let’s Talk About Vertx Move To Contact Glove – Mens
The Vertx Move To Contact Glove – Mens aims to bridge the gap between tactical dexterity and impact protection. These gloves, manufactured by Vertx, promise enhanced grip, crucial impact absorption, and touchscreen compatibility, all wrapped in a comfortable, durable design.
I was searching for a glove that would provide adequate protection while maintaining the tactile sensitivity required for intricate tasks. Standard tactical gloves often sacrifice dexterity for bulk, and I needed something more balanced for my demanding outdoor activities.
My first impression upon unboxing the Vertx Move To Contact Glove – Mens was positive. The gloves felt lightweight and the materials appeared to be of high quality. The goatskin leather palm felt supple and the D3O padding was discreetly integrated, suggesting a good balance of protection and dexterity.
Compared to my old Mechanix Wear gloves, which offer minimal impact protection, and a bulkier pair of S.O.L.A.G. gloves that severely limit fine motor skills, the Vertx Move To Contact Glove – Mens seemed like a promising middle ground. I chose these over the similar offerings from Blackhawk due to Vertx’s reputation for innovative design and use of advanced materials like D3O. I was excited to put these gloves through their paces and see if they lived up to the hype.
Real-World Testing: Putting Vertx Move To Contact Glove – Mens to the Test
First Use Experience
My initial test of the Vertx Move To Contact Glove – Mens took place at an outdoor shooting range. I focused on handling firearms, reloading magazines, and manipulating small controls while wearing the gloves. The weather was slightly damp, which presented a good opportunity to test the Oiltac leather grip.
The gloves performed admirably in the wet conditions, providing a secure and confident hold on my pistol. I didn’t need much time to adjust to the gloves; their fit felt natural, and the touchscreen compatibility on the trigger finger allowed me to easily use my phone to record shot data. The curved wrist tab didn’t interfere with my movements and kept out the debris.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, including a backcountry camping trip and some demanding training exercises, the Vertx Move To Contact Glove – Mens have proven to be quite durable. There are minimal signs of wear and tear, primarily some slight creasing on the goatskin leather palm.
Maintaining the gloves has been straightforward. I simply wipe them down with a damp cloth after use, and occasionally apply a leather conditioner to the palm to keep it supple. Compared to my previous experiences with cheaper gloves that quickly fall apart, the Vertx gloves have significantly outperformed my expectations, proving to be a worthwhile investment.
