TRU Ball Trident Pro Flex Release 1601548 Review

First Impressions of TRU Ball Trident Pro Flex Release 1601548

The TRU Ball Trident Pro Flex Release 1601548 enters a crowded market of archery releases, promising to deliver a high-end, automatically resetting thumb-activated experience for both target shooters and hunters. Marketed by TRU Ball as a top-tier option, its key features like the automatic reset, independent travel, and sensitivity adjustments immediately caught my eye. This release aims to blend the precision required for competitive shooting with the reliability demanded in the field.

My archery journey began with simple wrist-strap releases, eventually progressing to handheld index-finger models. The automatic reset feature was the siren song drawing me to this particular release, imagining a smoother, faster shot sequence in high-pressure hunting situations. The promise of independent travel and sensitivity adjustments solidified my decision, offering a level of customization I hadn’t experienced before.

Upon unboxing, the TRU Ball Trident Pro Flex Release 1601548 made a strong first impression. The silver finish gives it a sleek, professional look, and the medium size felt immediately comfortable in my hand. The weight felt substantial without being cumbersome, suggesting quality materials and construction.

Compared to my older Scott Archery Little Goose release and a friend’s Carter Enterprises Like Mike II, the Trident Pro Flex offered a noticeably more refined feel right out of the box. While the Scott was reliable and the Carter exceptionally crisp, the Trident Pro Flex seemed to blend these qualities with the added benefit of automatic reset, setting it apart. My initial reaction was one of excitement, tempered with the anticipation of a potential learning curve given the advanced features.
