Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope, 30 – 1 out of 8 models Review

Let’s Dive into Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope, 30 – 1 out of 8 models

The Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope, 30 – 1 out of 8 models is more than just an optic; it’s a versatile tool designed for hunters and tactical shooters alike. Manufactured by Trijicon, a name synonymous with ruggedness and clarity, this scope promises rapid target acquisition and dependable performance in varied environments. It’s a blend of close-quarters capability with the reach for mid-range engagements, housed in a durable package.

For years, I’ve struggled to find a single optic that could seamlessly transition between dense woodland hunting and open-field scenarios. I needed something that offered true 1x for up-close work, but also enough magnification for identifying targets at a distance. The promise of the Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 to fulfill both roles made it an immediate contender.

Upon unboxing, the Credo HX makes a strong first impression. The build quality screams Trijicon: solid, robust, and ready for abuse. Its weight felt appropriate for a scope of this class, not overly heavy, but substantial enough to inspire confidence. The controls had a positive, tactile feel, suggesting precise adjustments in the field.

I considered the Vortex Razor HD Gen II-E 1-6×24 and the Leupold VX-6HD 1-6×24. The Vortex is a proven performer, but I found its eye box to be a bit unforgiving at higher magnifications. The Leupold offered excellent glass, but I was concerned about its long-term durability under harsh conditions. The Trijicon seemed to strike a better balance of ruggedness, glass quality, and ease of use.

My initial excitement was high; this felt like the optic I’d been searching for. The clarity of the glass and the intuitive reticle gave me a strong sense that this scope would significantly improve my shooting capabilities. I was eager to get it mounted and head to the range.

Real-World Testing: Putting Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope, 30 – 1 out of 8 models to the Test

First Use Experience

My initial test took place at my local shooting range, followed by a weekend hog hunt in the Texas brush country. I mounted the Credo HX on my AR-15 platform. The shooting range allowed me to zero the scope and become familiar with its adjustments.

The Texas hunt presented a more demanding challenge, with thick vegetation and unpredictable lighting. The Credo HX truly shined. The 1x setting allowed for rapid target acquisition in dense brush, while the 6x magnification provided ample range for identifying hogs at a distance. Even in low-light conditions at dawn and dusk, the illuminated reticle provided a clear aiming point.

The scope was easy to use, even with gloved hands. The magnification lever was readily accessible and provided smooth transitions between magnifications. I quickly adapted to the reticle. There were no immediate issues or surprises, just a confident feeling that the Credo HX was a reliable partner.

Extended Use & Reliability

After six months of regular use, the Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 has proven to be a remarkably robust and reliable optic. It’s been subjected to everything from dusty range days to torrential downpours during deer season. It’s remained consistent and reliable.

I’ve noticed no signs of wear and tear beyond minor cosmetic scratches. The turrets maintain their crisp, positive clicks, and the glass remains clear and bright. The illumination continues to function flawlessly. I clean the lenses with a microfiber cloth and a lens cleaning solution after each range session or hunt.

Compared to my previous optics, the Credo HX provides a significantly improved shooting experience. Its clarity, versatility, and ruggedness make it a standout performer. It has exceeded my expectations in every way.

Who Should Buy Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope, 30 – 1 out of 8 models?

The Trijicon Credo HX CRHX624 is perfect for hunters who require a versatile optic for both close-quarters and mid-range engagements. It’s also an excellent choice for tactical shooters who need a reliable and durable scope for dynamic shooting scenarios. Those who need the fastest target acquisition possible for close range engagements will find the 1x magnification invaluable.

This product might not be the best fit for precision target shooters who primarily engage targets at long distances. The 6x maximum magnification may be limiting in such scenarios. Someone solely shooting static targets at known distances may also be better served by a scope optimized for bench rest type shooting.

A must-have accessory would be a high-quality scope mount to ensure proper alignment and a secure fit on the rifle. A throw lever can make magnification adjustments even faster and smoother.
