Tipton Nope Rope 9mm 2 Per Pack Review

The Tipton Nope Rope 9mm 2 Per Pack Made a Bold First Impression

Cleaning a firearm is a necessary evil, a task often relegated to the bottom of the to-do list after a long day at the range or in the field. The Tipton Nope Rope 9mm 2 Per Pack promises to make this chore a bit more efficient and less tedious. Tipton, known for their innovative gun cleaning and maintenance products, aims to provide a convenient solution for 9mm firearm owners with this product.

I’ve always been a fan of pull-through bore cleaners for their simplicity and ease of use, especially compared to traditional cleaning rods. My biggest frustration with them, however, has always been the re-feeding process. The Tipton Nope Rope piqued my interest because of its attachable ends, designed to eliminate this hassle. I was hoping this would be the solution to faster and more efficient cleaning after those intense shooting sessions.

Upon receiving the Tipton Nope Rope, the packaging was simple and functional, consisting of a small, mess-free storage box. The ropes themselves felt sturdy, and the attachable ends were a clever touch. The overall build quality seemed decent, aligning with Tipton’s reputation for producing reliable gun-cleaning tools.

I’ve used other pull-through cleaners like the Hoppe’s BoreSnake and generic versions from various manufacturers. The Tipton Nope Rope stands out due to its attachable ends and the claim of eliminating the need to re-feed the rope. I chose it because of the potential time-saving benefit and the reputation of Tipton as a trusted brand in the firearms maintenance space.

My first impression was cautiously optimistic. The concept was appealing, and the build quality appeared to be adequate. I was eager to see if the attachable ends lived up to their promise and if the Tipton Nope Rope could indeed make cleaning my 9mm firearms less of a chore.

Real-World Testing: Putting Tipton Nope Rope 9mm 2 Per Pack to the Test

First Use Experience

I first tested the Tipton Nope Rope 9mm 2 Per Pack at my local shooting range after a session with my Glock 19. The conditions were relatively dry and mild, ideal for testing the cleaner without any external complications. I followed the instructions provided, attaching the ends as intended.

The initial pull-through was smooth, and the rope effectively removed powder residue and fouling from the bore. The real advantage became apparent when I reached the end; I simply detached and reattached the ends instead of tediously re-feeding the rope. It definitely sped up the cleaning process and was much more convenient. There were no issues with the rope snagging or tearing during the cleaning process.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of use, including cleaning after shooting sessions in slightly more humid conditions, the Tipton Nope Rope has held up remarkably well. There is no significant wear and tear on the rope itself, and the attachable ends still function perfectly. The mess-free storage box is also a welcome addition, keeping the cleaner organized and preventing any residue from spreading.

Maintenance is simple: I usually run the rope through a clean cloth to remove excess debris and occasionally wash it with warm, soapy water. The Tipton Nope Rope has outperformed other pull-through cleaners I’ve used in the past primarily because of the attachable ends. Other cleaners require much more time and effort due to the tedious re-feeding process. The durability seems comparable, but the added convenience makes it a superior product.
