Let’s Talk About Sticky Holsters 3 pack Travel Mount Adhesive Strips
The Sticky Holsters 3 pack Travel Mount Adhesive Strips are designed to provide additional mounting options for the Sticky Holsters Travel Mount. These strips offer a convenient way to secure your firearm in multiple locations, ensuring easy access and safe storage. Sticky Holsters, known for their innovative concealment solutions, created these adhesive strips to enhance the versatility of their Travel Mount system.
I’ve always valued preparedness and accessibility, whether it’s on the range or during a cross-country road trip. The problem I consistently encountered was finding secure and discreet ways to mount my firearm inside my vehicle or other temporary locations without causing permanent damage. That’s what drew me to these adhesive strips.
Unboxing the Sticky Holsters 3 pack Travel Mount Adhesive Strips, I was immediately impressed by the simplicity and compact nature of the packaging. The strips themselves felt durable and well-made, with a strong adhesive backing protected by a peel-off layer. My initial thought was, “These need to work.”
While there are other adhesive mounting options available, many are generic and lack the tailored design specific to firearm holsters. I chose the Sticky Holsters option because I already trusted their holster designs and figured they’d understand the specific requirements of securely mounting a firearm. I also appreciate supporting a company that focuses on firearm safety and concealment solutions.
My first impression was cautiously optimistic. I was excited about the potential for convenient, non-permanent mounting solutions, but also slightly skeptical about the long-term hold and durability of adhesive in varying temperatures. Only real-world testing would tell the true story.
Real-World Testing: Putting Sticky Holsters 3 pack Travel Mount Adhesive Strips to the Test
First Use Experience
My first use involved mounting my Sticky Holsters Travel Mount in my truck, specifically on the inside of the center console. I wanted a readily accessible but discreet location for my sidearm during a long road trip. This seemed like the perfect initial testing ground.
The strips performed admirably in normal driving conditions. Even on bumpy roads, the mount stayed firmly in place, providing confidence in its ability to secure my firearm. I also tested the strips’ performance on a hot day where the interior of my vehicle reached over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ease of use was a major selling point from the start. Simply peel off the backing, apply the strip to the Travel Mount, and then firmly press the mount onto the desired surface. The process was quick and straightforward.
Initially, I had no issues. The strips adhered strongly, and the Travel Mount felt secure. The only slight surprise was how much pressure was needed to ensure a good bond, reinforcing the need for a clean, flat surface.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of continuous use, including a couple of long road trips, the Sticky Holsters 3 pack Travel Mount Adhesive Strips continued to hold strong. I even transferred the mount to a different vehicle, utilizing a fresh adhesive strip. The reapplication process was just as simple as the first time.
As for durability, there were no signs of peeling or weakening of the adhesive even after weeks of exposure to varying temperatures and vibrations. The synthetic finish of the strips themselves showed no signs of wear. This impressed me.
Maintenance is virtually nonexistent. There’s no cleaning required; simply ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before application. The beauty lies in their simplicity.
Compared to my previous experiences with generic adhesive mounts, the Sticky Holsters strips significantly outperformed them. The tailored design and strong adhesive offered a far more secure and reliable hold, giving me peace of mind knowing my firearm was safely and securely mounted.
