Specter Gear Raptor 2 Point Sling for Mossberg 590 w/M4 type Collapsible Stock Review

Let’s Talk About Specter Gear Raptor 2 Point Sling for Mossberg 590 w/M4 type Collapsible Stock

The Specter Gear Raptor 2 Point Sling for Mossberg 590 w/M4 type Collapsible Stock offers a simple yet effective solution for carrying your shotgun. Designed specifically for the Mossberg 590 12ga with an M4 style stock, this sling promises to provide a secure and comfortable carry. Its features like the emergency release buckle and ambidextrous side sling adapters caught my eye, promising versatility and safety.

For years, I’d struggled with subpar slings that either dug into my shoulder or made transitioning to firing positions awkward. I needed a sling that offered both secure carry and rapid deployment. The Specter Gear sling seemed to offer just that.

Upon receiving the Specter Gear Raptor 2 Point Sling, I was immediately impressed by the robust feel of the webbing. The stitching appeared clean and durable, and the metal hardware felt substantial. It felt like a serious piece of kit, not some flimsy afterthought.

I had been considering slings from Magpul and Blue Force Gear, both reputable brands, but the Specter Gear sling’s specific design for the Mossberg 590, along with its more affordable price point, ultimately swayed my decision. The Magpul felt too generic, and the Blue Force Gear was overkill for my needs. The Specter Gear Raptor 2 Point Sling provided a tailored solution.

My first impression was definitely positive; I was eager to get it installed and put it through its paces. It looked like a practical solution, a far cry from the overly complex tactical slings I’d used previously.
