Let’s Talk About Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite Precision Set
In the world of firearms maintenance, precision is paramount. The Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite Precision Set promises just that: a targeted approach to lubrication, aiming to maximize performance and longevity. Shooter’s Choice intends this kit to eliminate waste and ensure pinpoint application of their renowned FP-10 Lubricant, addressing a common frustration amongst gun owners.
For years, I struggled with over-application and messy clean-up using standard lubricant bottles. I needed a system that allowed for precise control, especially when dealing with intricate mechanisms in my firearms. The promise of eliminating waste and precise application is what drew me to this product.
Unboxing the set, I was immediately impressed by the compact and organized nature of the kit. The metal tips felt robust, and the adjustable plastic tip offered versatility. It felt like a well-thought-out system designed for serious firearm enthusiasts.
Compared to using standard needle oilers or simply applying lubricant from the bottle, this set seemed significantly more refined. I had previously used Hoppe’s lubricating oil, but their bottle’s dispensing method felt clunky and inaccurate. Other products like Break-Free CLP lacked the precision application options of the Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite Precision Set.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism. The concept was sound, and the components seemed high-quality. I was excited to see if it would truly deliver on its promise of precision and waste reduction.
Real-World Testing: Putting Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite Precision Set to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite Precision Set during a thorough cleaning of my AR-15 after a day at an outdoor shooting range. The weather was dry and dusty, so my rifle was particularly grimy. I used the ultra-fine metal tip to apply lubricant to the bolt carrier group, focusing on the cam pin and bolt lugs.
The precision was remarkable. I was able to apply a very small amount of lubricant exactly where it was needed, without any excess. The control was a significant improvement over my previous method of applying a liberal amount and wiping off the excess.
There were no issues with the set itself. The tips attached securely to the bottle, and the flow of lubricant was consistent and manageable. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of using the Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite Precision Set on various firearms (pistols, rifles, and shotguns), I can confidently say that it holds up well. The metal tips show no signs of corrosion or wear, and the adjustable plastic tip remains flexible and functional. The clear cover ensures the tips remain clean and protected.
The durability is excellent. The metal tips are particularly robust. The plastic tip has also proven to be more durable than I initially expected.
Maintenance is simple. I occasionally wipe down the tips with a clean cloth to remove any residue. It’s very easy to keep everything in good working order.
Compared to my previous experience with less precise lubrication methods, the Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite Precision Set is a game-changer. It has made firearm maintenance more efficient and less wasteful. My firearms also seem to function more reliably, likely due to the more precise application of lubricant.
