My journey to this specific holster began with a need for a reliable and secure carry option for my Sig P226. I needed a holster that could withstand the rigors of outdoor training and provide quick, intuitive access to my firearm. Security was paramount, especially when working in dynamic environments. The SLS (Self Locking System) seemed like the ideal solution to mitigate the risk of weapon takeaways.
Upon unboxing the Safariland SLS Military Tactical Holster – OD Green, Right 6035-7712-561, my first impression was one of solid construction and purposeful design. The OD Green SafariLaminate felt rugged and durable. It felt like it could handle anything I threw at it. I considered the Blackhawk! Serpa Level 3 Tactical Holster and the Bianchi M12 Universal Military Holster before settling on the Safariland SLS Military Tactical Holster – OD Green, Right 6035-7712-561.
