What Makes Safariland 7379 7TS ALS Concealment Belt Clip – 1 out of 9 models Stand Out?
The Safariland 7379 7TS ALS Concealment Belt Clip – 1 out of 9 models isn’t just another holster; it’s a statement of efficient design and rugged reliability. Crafted by Safariland, a name synonymous with law enforcement and tactical gear excellence, this holster blends rapid accessibility with secure retention. Its low profile and intuitive Automatic Locking System (ALS) make it a serious contender for anyone prioritizing concealed carry.
I’ve spent years searching for the “perfect” concealment holster: one that balances speed, security, and comfort. My biggest problem was finding a holster that wouldn’t print excessively under light clothing while still allowing for a quick, confident draw. Many holsters I’ve tried either sacrificed security for speed or were too bulky for comfortable all-day carry.
Upon unboxing, the Safariland 7379 immediately impressed me with its clean lines and robust feel. The SafariSeven nylon blend feels significantly more durable than the Kydex I’m used to. The belt clip seems sturdy and well-designed, promising a secure fit on my belt.
I was considering the Blade-Tech Total Eclipse 2.0 and the BlackPoint Tactical Mini Wing when I was searching for a new holster. I chose the Safariland 7379 over those options because of Safariland’s proven track record and the ALS system. I also appreciate that the Safariland is specifically designed for concealment.
My first impression was positive; the holster looks and feels like a high-quality piece of gear. I’m excited to see how it performs in real-world conditions.
Real-World Testing: Putting Safariland 7379 7TS ALS Concealment Belt Clip – 1 out of 9 models to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the Safariland 7379 at my local shooting range during a self-defense training session. The session involved drawing and firing under time pressure, as well as practicing various movement drills. I also wore the holster during a day of errands to assess its comfort during everyday activities.
The holster performed admirably in various conditions. Even with sweaty hands after drills, the ALS release was easy to manipulate. The open-top design allowed for a smooth and fast draw every time, even when practicing from seated positions.
The Safariland 7379 was surprisingly easy to get used to. The ALS system is intuitive, and the draw stroke became second nature after just a few repetitions. The only initial issue was adjusting the tension screw to find the perfect balance between retention and draw speed.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of regular use, the Safariland 7379 continues to impress. The holster shows no signs of wear and tear, even after being subjected to bumps and scrapes during training and daily activities. The SafariSeven material seems remarkably resilient.
The holster’s durability is outstanding. I’ve worn it in rain, mud, and extreme heat, and it has maintained its shape and function without any issues. Cleaning is a breeze; a simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is all it takes to remove dirt and grime.
Compared to my previous Kydex holsters, the Safariland 7379 is noticeably more comfortable and holds up to wear and tear much better. The SafariSeven material doesn’t chafe or irritate my skin, even when worn for extended periods. The ALS system also provides a level of security that I haven’t experienced with other concealment holsters.
