Let’s Talk About RWS/Umarex 2252661 Air Saber Black Carbon Fiber 6 Per Pack
The RWS/Umarex 2252661 Air Saber Black Carbon Fiber 6 Per Pack represents a crucial component for maximizing the performance of the Umarex AirSaber airbow. These arrows, constructed from carbon fiber and specifically designed for the AirSaber, promise straight flight and the ability to withstand the intense pressures generated by the airbow. At a price point of $57.99 for a six-pack, they offer a direct link to consistent accuracy and confident shots with the AirSaber.
For years, I’ve tinkered with different projectile types across various archery and airgun platforms. My main problem to solve was ensuring consistent accuracy with air archery, which often suffers due to the unique physics involved. After struggling to find reliable arrows for the Umarex AirSaber, that could endure the immense pressure and maintain a straight flight path, I turned to these carbon fiber arrows.
Upon unboxing, the RWS/Umarex arrows exuded quality. The carbon fiber weave looked impeccable, suggesting a robust build, and they felt surprisingly lightweight yet solid in hand. Compared to standard aluminum arrows or even some of the cheaper carbon fiber options I’ve used in the past, these stood out immediately for their apparent rigidity and precision.
Initially, I considered generic crossbow bolts as an alternative. However, the AirSaber’s unique propulsion system requires arrows specifically designed to handle its pressure. I also looked at some other aftermarket airbow arrows, but the Umarex branded arrows boasted superior Straight Flight Technology and a guaranteed fit, making them the clear choice.
My first impression was a surge of optimism. The RWS/Umarex 2252661 Air Saber Black Carbon Fiber 6 Per Pack appeared to be a serious upgrade compared to other arrows. I felt excited to finally test their accuracy and penetration capabilities with the AirSaber.
Real-World Testing: Putting RWS/Umarex 2252661 Air Saber Black Carbon Fiber 6 Per Pack to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the RWS/Umarex Air Saber arrows primarily at my local outdoor shooting range, focusing on targets placed at 20, 30, and 40 yards. Conditions were generally favorable, with a slight crosswind providing a real-world challenge to the arrow’s flight stability.
The arrows demonstrated impressive consistency, even in the breezy conditions. I immediately noticed a tighter grouping compared to some generic arrows I had tried before. Getting accustomed to the AirSaber and the arrows was straightforward, with only minimal adjustments needed to fine-tune my aiming point at different distances.
The only surprise was the depth of penetration into my target block. The 376-grain arrows, combined with the AirSaber’s power, buried themselves deeper than I expected.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, the RWS/Umarex Air Saber arrows continue to perform admirably. The carbon fiber construction has proven resilient, showing no signs of splintering or cracking.
Despite numerous shots into various target types, the arrows maintain their straightness. I simply wipe them down with a damp cloth after each session. This keeps them clean and ready for the next use. The arrows outperform any generic alternatives I’ve tried. These Umarex arrows are now my go-to choice for hunting and target practice.
