RISE Armament has built a reputation for delivering high-performance triggers at accessible prices, and this special edition adds a touch of patriotic flair with its engraved “Come and Take It” design. Replacing a gritty mil-spec trigger with a crisp, single-stage trigger like this can dramatically improve accuracy and shooting speed.
My quest for a better trigger started after experiencing inconsistent performance with the stock trigger in my AR-15. I needed something that offered a clean break and faster reset for both target shooting and potential tactical applications. I had been looking for an upgrade to provide a consistently smooth and responsive trigger pull.
Upon unboxing, the RA-140 felt solid and well-made. The anodized aluminum cassette housing exuded quality, and the trigger itself had a smooth, curved profile that felt comfortable to the touch. The “Come and Take It” engraving was cleanly executed and added a unique visual element.
I considered triggers from Geissele and Timney, but the RISE Armament RA-140 offered a similar single-stage performance at a significantly lower price point. The inclusion of anti-walk pins was another plus, simplifying the installation process. It seemed like the perfect balance of performance, aesthetics, and value.
My first impression was one of excitement and anticipation. I couldn’t wait to install the trigger and experience the difference it would make in my AR-15’s performance. It promised to be an upgrade that was both functional and visually appealing, adding character to my rifle.
