Rig Em Right The Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber Review

The Rig Em Right The Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber Made a Bold First Impression

The Rig Em Right The Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber arrived at my doorstep promising comfort and concealment for the discerning turkey hunter. As an avid outdoorsman with over a decade dedicated to tactical and hunting gear, I’m always on the lookout for equipment that seamlessly blends functionality with practical design. I’ve spent countless hours perched uncomfortably against trees, or awkwardly balanced on flimsy stools, all in pursuit of that thunderous gobble.

My quest for the perfect hunting seat led me to the Rig Em Right brand, known for their commitment to quality and innovation in waterfowl hunting accessories. After researching several options, the Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber stood out because of its durable construction, optimized camo pattern, and focus on portability. Several competing models, like basic folding camp stools or lightweight tripod seats, lacked the stability and comfort required for extended sits in the field. The Go Seat’s robust frame and wide foot pads were particularly appealing.

Upon unboxing, the Rig Em Right The Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber immediately impressed me with its solid feel and attention to detail. The powder-coated steel frame exuded durability, and the 900D camo fabric felt rugged enough to withstand the rigors of the hunt. I was excited to take this seat into the field and see if it lived up to its promise.

Real-World Testing: Putting Rig Em Right The Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber to the Test

First Use Experience

My first field test of the Rig Em Right The Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber took place during the spring turkey season in the hardwood forests of central Pennsylvania. I set up along a well-worn game trail near a known roosting area, hoping to intercept a gobbler heading to its strutting grounds. The ground was damp and slightly uneven.

The Go Seat proved its worth immediately. Its wide foot pads prevented it from sinking into the soft earth, providing a stable and comfortable platform. The Gore Optifade Timber camo blended seamlessly with the surrounding vegetation, effectively concealing my presence. I remained seated for several hours without experiencing the back pain or discomfort I’d grown accustomed to with other seating options.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of consistent use, the Rig Em Right The Go Seat Gore Optifade Timber has continued to impress me. It shows no signs of wear and tear. The 900D fabric is remarkably resistant to snags and tears, even after brushing against thorns and rough bark.

Maintenance has been minimal. Any dirt or mud easily wipes off with a damp cloth. Compared to previous hunting seats I’ve used, which often became creaky and unstable after a few seasons, the Go Seat feels like a significant upgrade. Its durable construction inspires confidence, and I expect it to last for many years to come.
