Let’s Talk About Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder
Crossbows represent a significant investment for any hunter, demanding secure and accessible storage when not in use. The Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder, from Raxx, promises to provide precisely that – a safe and versatile storage solution for your prized crossbow. This holder boasts a powder-coated carbon steel construction designed for longevity, and the ability to mount your crossbow either horizontally or vertically.
My journey to finding the Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder began with a familiar problem: a cluttered gear room and a constant fear of damaging my crossbow. I needed a reliable system to keep my crossbow safe, accessible, and out of the way. The promise of adaptable mounting and a protective coating immediately caught my eye.
Upon unboxing the Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder, I was impressed by the robust feel of the carbon steel. The powder coating appeared even and durable, suggesting it would withstand years of use. The design was simple yet functional, exuding an air of practicality.
While considering options, I also looked at the Plano Crossbow Case and the Allen Company Deluxe Wall Mount Crossbow Hanger. I chose the Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder due to its dual mounting options and perceived higher build quality compared to the Allen Company hanger. It also provides quick access which a case doesn’t offer.
My first impression was overwhelmingly positive; this felt like a serious piece of kit designed to last. I was excited to finally have a dedicated and secure storage solution for my crossbow.
Real-World Testing: Putting Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder in my gear shed, which is exposed to temperature fluctuations. I mounted my crossbow horizontally, finding the installation straightforward with basic tools. The holder securely cradled my crossbow, providing a sense of confidence.
After a few days, we had an unexpected rainstorm, and some moisture seeped into the shed. The powder coating of the Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder held up perfectly, showing no signs of rust or corrosion. The crossbow remained stable and protected within the holder.
The Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder required no learning curve whatsoever; it was intuitive and easy to use from the moment I installed it. Removing and replacing the crossbow was a breeze, even with gloved hands.
One slight surprise was how much space the horizontal mount actually required. I initially underestimated the overall width needed to accommodate the crossbow and holder.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of use, the Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder continues to perform flawlessly. The powder coating remains intact, and the carbon steel shows no signs of bending or weakening. It has proven to be a durable and reliable storage solution.
There’s been no noticeable wear and tear despite frequent use and occasional bumps from other gear. The Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder has consistently held my crossbow securely in place.
Maintenance has been minimal – an occasional wipe-down with a damp cloth is all that’s needed to keep it clean. The powder coating resists dirt and grime effectively.
In comparison to my previous makeshift storage solutions (leaning it against a wall), the Raxx Whitetail Crossbow Holder is a significant upgrade. It provides vastly superior protection and accessibility.
