Let’s Talk About Radians HSH0220CS Hushies Passive Infant/Toddler Muff Over The Head Blue Ear Cup
As a seasoned outdoor and tactical gear specialist, I’ve learned that protecting the youngest members of our adventuring teams is paramount. These aren’t just another pair of earmuffs; they’re a shield for sensitive little ears, allowing families to enjoy loud environments without worry.
My journey to finding these earmuffs began with a simple, yet pressing need: protecting my niece’s hearing at a local airshow. The roaring engines were exciting, but undeniably deafening. I needed a reliable, comfortable, and easily portable solution, leading me down the path to these Radians Hushies.
Unboxing them, I was immediately impressed by the lightweight design and the soft, cushioned ear cups. The build quality felt sturdy, reassuring me that these muffs could withstand the inevitable rough handling that comes with toddler life. The cheerful blue color was also a plus!
I considered other options, including noise-canceling headphones and other passive earmuffs from different brands. Ultimately, I chose the Radians HSH0220CS Hushies due to their specific focus on infant and toddler comfort, their passive noise reduction capabilities (no batteries needed!), and the trusted reputation of Radians in the safety gear industry. My first impression was one of relief and excitement – finally, a solution that felt both safe and practical.
Real-World Testing: Putting Radians HSH0220CS Hushies Passive Infant/Toddler Muff Over The Head Blue Ear Cup to the Test
First Use Experience
My first test of the Radians HSH0220CS Hushies was, as mentioned, at a bustling airshow. Amidst the shrieking jets and cheering crowds, my niece wore the earmuffs comfortably for extended periods. The adjustable headband ensured a snug fit, preventing them from slipping off during her excited movements.
Despite the chaotic environment, she seemed calm and unbothered by the noise, a testament to the earmuffs’ effectiveness. There were no complaints about discomfort or pressure, which was a huge relief. The only surprise was how many other parents inquired about them; clearly, I wasn’t the only one looking for this kind of protection!
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, including at a loud family wedding and a minor league baseball game, the Radians HSH0220CS Hushies have proven their worth. They’ve held up remarkably well to being tossed into diaper bags and occasionally chewed on (thanks, teething!). The soft ear cups haven’t shown any signs of wear and tear.
Cleaning them is a breeze; a simple wipe with a damp cloth is all it takes to remove any dirt or drool. Compared to previous attempts at using makeshift noise protection (think strategically placed cotton balls!), the Radians Hushies are a game-changer. They offer superior protection, comfort, and peace of mind.

The Radians HSH0220CS Hushies are primarily a standalone product, focusing on core functionality. They do not come with any additional accessories. Customization options are limited to the adjustable headband.
