Let’s Talk About PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan
Belly band holsters have always intrigued me; the concept of a universal, adaptable carry system that can accommodate a variety of handguns and body types is undeniably appealing. The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan enters the market with the promise of just that – a comfortable, concealed, and adaptable carry solution for a wide range of users. This is from PS Products, and the product is tan in color.
I wanted to find a comfortable and truly universal carry option that didn’t require swapping out holsters for different firearms. I was looking for something that would work with everything from my compact Glock 19 to my subcompact Sig P365.
My initial impression upon unboxing was of a simple, straightforward design. The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan is lightweight, constructed of what appears to be durable nylon, and features the expected Velcro closures for adjustability. It seems well-made for its price point, but it doesn’t exactly scream “premium” in terms of materials or construction.
Compared to other belly bands I’ve seen, such as the CrossBreed Belly Band or the ComfortTac Ultimate Belly Band, the PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan appears to be more focused on basic functionality rather than premium comfort or advanced features. Those other bands boast features like breathable mesh or more sophisticated retention systems. I chose the PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan because of the very attractive price point.
Initially, I was cautiously optimistic. I wasn’t expecting it to revolutionize concealed carry, but I was hoping for a functional and comfortable option for situations where a traditional holster wasn’t practical.
Real-World Testing: Putting PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan to the Test
First Use Experience
My first test of the PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan took place at an outdoor shooting range during a relatively mild day. I wanted to assess its comfort and functionality during basic drills. I tested it with both my Glock 19 and Sig P365.
The band performed adequately, holding both pistols securely in place during drawing and re-holstering drills. However, I noticed that the nylon material didn’t breathe particularly well, and I started to feel some discomfort due to sweat build-up after about an hour of use.
The Accessory Attachment System using Velcro was easy to use, but not extremely robust. The Holster Type is a Belly Band Holster made of Nylon, and this combination lead to my handgun shifting around during strenuous movements.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, including wearing it during light hikes and everyday activities, the PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan has held up reasonably well. There are no signs of significant wear and tear, though the Velcro closures are starting to show slight signs of fraying.
Cleaning is relatively easy – a simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient. However, the nylon material retains odors more readily than some other fabrics, so more thorough cleaning might be necessary periodically. The Holster Material is Nylon, so this makes sense.
Compared to my experience with premium hybrid holsters, the PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan falls short in terms of comfort and concealment. However, considering its price point and universal design, it’s a decent option for specific situations where versatility is paramount.
Breaking Down the Features of PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan
Specifications
The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan, manufactured by PS Products, is a universal belly band holster designed for concealed carry of handguns. The Color is Tan.
It is constructed of nylon and features Velcro closures for adjustability. It has extra magazine pockets and is designed for a Mens Waist Size of 36 – 44 in.
The Holster Material is Nylon and Holster Type is a Belly Band Holster, making it lightweight and relatively inexpensive. The Accessory Attachment System is Velcro, which allows for some adjustability, but might not be as secure as other attachment methods.
This Hand is for the Right hand. The specifications dictate this is for a Gun Type of Handgun.
These specifications translate to a holster that’s easy to conceal under clothing, but may sacrifice some comfort and security compared to more specialized holsters. The nylon construction offers basic durability, but may not withstand extreme conditions or heavy use as well as more robust materials.
Performance & Functionality
The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan performs adequately in its primary function of concealing a handgun. It allows for a relatively discreet carry, especially with looser clothing.
The band’s main strengths are its versatility and adjustability. It can accommodate a wide range of handguns and body types, making it a convenient option for those who own multiple firearms or have difficulty finding a holster that fits comfortably.
However, the nylon material’s lack of breathability can lead to discomfort during extended wear or in hot weather. The Accessory Attachment System is Velcro, and while functional, the Velcro closures may not provide the most secure retention, especially during vigorous activity.
Design & Ergonomics
The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan has a simple, no-frills design. It prioritizes functionality over aesthetics.
The build quality is decent for the price, but the nylon material feels somewhat basic. The lack of padding or breathable mesh can make it less comfortable than other belly band holsters, especially for extended wear.
There’s virtually no learning curve – the band is easy to put on and adjust. However, achieving a consistently comfortable and secure fit may require some experimentation.
Durability & Maintenance
The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan is reasonably durable for its price point. The nylon material is resistant to tearing and abrasion, but the Velcro closures may wear out over time.
Maintenance is straightforward – a simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient. However, the nylon material may retain odors, so more thorough cleaning may be necessary periodically.
Accessories and Customization Options
The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan comes with extra magazine pockets. These are helpful for carrying spare magazines or other small items.
There are no specific customization options for the band itself. However, users can potentially add aftermarket accessories such as retention straps or padding to improve comfort and security. Due to the Accessory Attachment System being Velcro, most products should be easily adapted.

The PSP BELLYBANDNL Concealed Carry Belly Band Universal Handgun Nylon Tan offers a budget-friendly and versatile concealed carry solution. It has significant limitations, particularly in comfort and retention.
The price is justified, making it a good entry-level option for those new to concealed carry or those who need a backup holster. It has some significant limitations though.
