Real-World Testing: Putting PAC 5 Volt USB Power Oulet Dash Mountable to the Test

First Use Experience

My first test of the PAC 5 Volt USB Power Oulet Dash Mountable was during a week-long overland trip through the Mojave Desert. The installation in my Jeep Gladiator was straightforward, utilizing an existing blank switch panel location on the dashboard. During the harsh conditions of the desert, where temperatures soared above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and dust permeated everything, the PAC unit performed admirably.

It reliably charged my smartphone, GPS unit, and even my headlamp, ensuring I always had the necessary power for navigation and communication. There were no dropouts or surges in power, and the unit remained securely mounted despite the rough terrain.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several months of consistent use, the PAC 5 Volt USB Power Oulet Dash Mountable continues to impress. There are no signs of wear and tear on the unit itself, and the USB port remains tight and secure. The black finish has resisted fading, even after prolonged exposure to the harsh desert sun.

Maintaining the PAC unit has been virtually nonexistent; a quick wipe with a damp cloth is all that’s needed to remove any accumulated dust or grime.
