Let’s Dive into Night Fision Optics Ready Stealth CZ Night Sight Set
The Night Fision Optics Ready Stealth CZ Night Sight Set offers a compelling solution for CZ P-10 series pistol owners looking for enhanced visibility and co-witness capabilities with red dot optics. Night Fision promises brighter tritium illumination and a design that minimizes optic window obstruction, all while providing a reliable backup sighting system. Having spent years tinkering with and evaluating various sighting systems, I was particularly intrigued by the claim of superior tritium brightness and the stealth profile designed for optic-equipped pistols.
My journey to this particular sight set began with the acquisition of a CZ P-10 C OR. While I appreciated the pistol’s ergonomics and overall performance, the factory sights left something to be desired, especially in low-light conditions. I wanted a set that offered excellent nighttime visibility and wouldn’t clutter the view through my red dot.
The packaging was simple, functional, and clearly labeled. The sights themselves felt solid and well-machined upon first inspection. The black nitride finish appeared durable and the tritium vials glowed vibrantly, even in daylight. They gave off an air of quality that you would expect from a company specializing in night sights.
I considered the Trijicon Bright & Tough Night Sights and the AmeriGlo GL-429 sets, but I opted for the Night Fision sights due to their lower 1/3 co-witness design. I didn’t want suppressor height sights obstructing my red dot’s field of view. My first impression was one of anticipation, hoping these sights would live up to the hype and elevate my CZ P-10 C OR’s performance in various lighting conditions.
Real-World Testing: Putting Night Fision Optics Ready Stealth CZ Night Sight Set to the Test
First Use Experience
I installed the Night Fision Optics Ready Stealth CZ Night Sight Set on my CZ P-10 C OR and immediately headed to my local outdoor shooting range. The installation, while doable at home, definitely benefited from the use of a proper sight pusher tool, as Night Fision recommends gunsmith installation. I tested the sights at varying distances, from 7 yards to 25 yards, under both bright sunlight and in a dimly lit indoor bay.
The sights performed admirably in all conditions. The daylight fluorescent rings around the tritium vials provided excellent visibility in bright light. During the indoor session, the tritium illumination was bright and easily acquired, even in complete darkness. I found the sight picture to be clear and intuitive, requiring minimal adjustment. There were no immediate issues; the sights functioned exactly as advertised.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of regular use, the Night Fision Optics Ready Stealth CZ Night Sight Set continues to impress. The black nitride finish has proven to be exceptionally durable, showing no signs of wear despite frequent handling and holster use. Maintenance is simple, requiring only a quick wipe-down with a clean cloth after each range session.
Compared to the factory CZ sights, the Night Fision set is a significant improvement in terms of visibility and overall shooting experience. The enhanced low-light performance and the unobtrusive co-witness design make these sights a valuable addition to my P-10 C OR. They provide a level of confidence that the stock sights simply couldn’t match.
