First Impressions of Moultrie MMA14144 Easy Aim Mount Black Compatible W/ Edge Series Cellular Trail
The Moultrie MMA14144 Easy Aim Mount Black Compatible W/ Edge Series Cellular Trail camera accessory promises a simple solution to a common frustration: getting the perfect camera angle in the field. For years, I’ve wrestled with sticks, rocks, and improvised shims to point my trail cameras where they need to be, often resulting in crooked or poorly framed images. This little mount from Moultrie claims to eliminate that hassle for their Edge Series cellular trail cameras.
My quest for this mount stemmed from a recurring problem: inconsistent and sometimes useless images from my trail cameras. I needed a reliable way to adjust the camera angle without resorting to makeshift solutions. Seeing this mount promised easy adjustability specifically for my Moultrie Edge Series cameras, I was willing to give it a shot.
Upon unboxing, the mount is a simple, molded piece of black plastic. It feels lightweight but reasonably sturdy. My initial impression was positive, if understated; its simplicity suggested ease of use, which is exactly what I was hoping for.
Compared to using no mount or trying to craft one from natural materials, the Moultrie MMA14144 Easy Aim Mount seems like a significant upgrade. Similar products from other brands often involve more complex, multi-piece designs, or universal mounts that don’t quite fit snugly. I chose this one specifically for its compatibility with my Moultrie Edge Series cameras and its seemingly straightforward design. I was cautiously optimistic that this would finally solve my camera-angling woes.
