Let’s Talk About Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest
The Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest isn’t just another seat; it’s a purpose-built tool designed for the serious turkey hunter. Crafted by Millennium, a manufacturer known for its innovative hunting solutions, this seat promises comfort and stability in the demanding environments where gobblers roam. I was immediately intrigued by its promise of all-day comfort and the Mo Obsession camouflage pattern, perfect for blending into spring woodlands.
My introduction to the need for a dedicated turkey seat came years ago, hunched against a tree root for hours, legs aching and back screaming, only to miss the shot when the bird finally appeared. The quest for a comfortable, portable, and effective solution has been ongoing, leading me to explore various chairs and ground pads, none quite hitting the mark. The Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest seemed like a worthy contender, and unboxing it only solidified that feeling.
Upon unboxing, the seat felt robust yet surprisingly lightweight. The frame appears to be constructed of durable aluminum, and the fabric is taut and seemingly weather-resistant. The Mo Obsession camouflage is incredibly effective, a blend of greens, browns, and tans that should disappear into most turkey habitats.
Compared to basic folding camp chairs or simple ground pads, the Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest offers a significant upgrade in terms of support and concealment. I considered the Primos Rocker Turkey Vest with a built-in seat and a few other similar models. Ultimately, I chose the Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest for its standalone design, the seemingly more substantial backrest, and Millennium‘s reputation for quality hunting products.
My initial excitement was palpable. If this seat performed as well as it looked, it could be a game-changer for my spring turkey hunts. The hope was that this Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest could be the ultimate solution for comfort and concealment, transforming those long hours in the woods from a test of endurance to a focused and enjoyable hunting experience.
Real-World Testing: Putting Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest to the Test
First Use Experience
My first field test with the Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest was on a spring morning in the Missouri Ozarks. The terrain was classic turkey country: rolling hills, dense timber, and thick underbrush. The air was damp, and the ground was soft from recent rain.
The seat performed admirably in these conditions. The wide feet provided excellent stability on the uneven ground, preventing any unwanted sinking or wobbling. I spent about four hours in the same location, shifting positions occasionally, and the seat remained comfortable and supportive.
Initially, there was a slight learning curve in finding the optimal seating position. The backrest is positioned to provide support while still allowing freedom of movement for shouldering a shotgun. Adjusting to this balance took a little practice, but once dialed in, it felt natural and intuitive.
The only initial issue I noticed was a slight squeak from one of the frame joints when I shifted my weight. This wasn’t a major problem, but I made a mental note to address it with some lubricant later.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use throughout the turkey season, the Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest has proven to be a reliable and valuable piece of gear. The frame remains solid, and the fabric shows no signs of wear and tear, despite being subjected to thorns, mud, and the occasional spilled coffee.
Durability is definitely a strong point. The seat has been subjected to several days of use, and the Mo Obsession camo shows no signs of fading. A quick wipe-down with a damp cloth is all that’s needed to remove mud and dirt.
Compared to my previous experiences with less specialized seating options, the Millennium Feild Pro Turkey Seat Mo Obsession W/backrest is a clear winner. It offers superior comfort, stability, and concealment, allowing me to focus on the hunt without being distracted by discomfort. It truly is an investment for turkey hunters.
