Let’s Dive into Mec-Gar USA Inc Magazine Taurus Pt738 .380acp 6 Round Blued

Every shooter knows the frustration of a subpar magazine. It’s the lifeline of your firearm, and a failure there can mean the difference between a successful range day and a complete disaster. The Mec-Gar USA Inc Magazine Taurus Pt738 .380acp 6 Round Blued promises reliability and durability for the popular Taurus PT738 TCP pistol, a claim I was eager to investigate given my years of experience with a wide variety of firearms and their associated magazines.

I had been experiencing consistent feeding issues with the factory magazine that came with my PT738. This was causing frustration, especially when using the pistol for concealed carry practice. I wanted a magazine that could provide smooth and reliable feeding, eliminating the possibility of malfunctions during critical situations.

Upon unboxing the Mec-Gar magazine, my initial impression was favorable. The blued steel construction felt solid and well-made, and the high-impact polymer floorplate seemed durable enough to withstand regular use. It certainly felt more robust than the original magazine.

Compared to the factory Taurus magazine and a couple of aftermarket options I’ve tried, the Mec-Gar immediately felt different. The spring tension felt consistent, and the overall fit and finish appeared superior. It looked and felt like a serious upgrade.

My first impression was one of cautious optimism. The magazine certainly looked the part, but the true test would be at the range. I was hoping for a significant improvement in reliability and feeding compared to my experiences with the original magazine.
