Let’s Talk About Lippert 3711363 Kwikee Series 26 Single RV Step
The Lippert 3711363 Kwikee Series 26 Single RV Step is designed to provide RV owners with a reliable and durable entry and exit solution. Lippert, a well-known name in the RV industry, offers this single step as a convenient way to improve access to your recreational vehicle. With its rugged construction and user-friendly design, this step aims to enhance the overall RV experience by simplifying entry and exit.
Having spent years navigating the sometimes-awkward entries of various RVs, I was on the hunt for a single step solution that prioritized both durability and ease of use. The stock step on my vintage trailer had become unreliable, wobbling precariously with each use. I was searching for a replacement that I could trust to last, regardless of weather conditions or frequent use.
The Lippert 3711363 Kwikee Series 26 Single RV Step arrived well-packaged, and my initial impression was positive, noting its solid weight and the robust powder-coated finish. The steel construction looked far more substantial than the flimsy aluminum step it was replacing. It seemed built to withstand the rigors of RV travel.
Compared to other single RV steps on the market, such as the Stromberg Carlson EGS-1 or the MORryde StepAbove, I chose the Lippert model due to its reputation for reliable electronics and durable steel construction. While some folding steps offer a smaller storage footprint, the Lippert appeared to offer a stronger, more dependable platform. Its non-skid tread also seemed superior.
My first impression was one of relief and cautious optimism. The build quality was promising, and the step felt like a significant upgrade in terms of safety and durability. I was eager to install it and see how it performed in real-world camping scenarios, hoping it would finally eliminate the anxiety I felt every time I used my old RV step.
Real-World Testing: Putting Lippert 3711363 Kwikee Series 26 Single RV Step to the Test
First Use Experience
I installed the Lippert 3711363 Kwikee Series 26 Single RV Step on my travel trailer before a weekend camping trip to a state park known for its uneven terrain. The installation process, though straightforward, did require some basic tools and a bit of patience to align everything correctly. Stepping onto the step for the first time felt incredibly secure.
The weekend included a mix of dry and damp conditions, giving me a chance to evaluate the step’s performance in different weather. The non-skid tread provided excellent grip, even when wet, preventing any slips or stumbles. I appreciated this feature, especially when carrying gear in and out of the RV.
The step’s operation was simple and intuitive. There was no learning curve involved. It just provided a solid, reliable platform for entering and exiting the RV.
The only minor issue I encountered was a slight squeak during the initial retraction, but a quick application of lubricant resolved the problem. Overall, the first use was a resounding success, instilling confidence in the step’s design and functionality.

After several months of regular use, the Lippert 3711363 Kwikee Series 26 Single RV Step has proven to be a durable and dependable addition to my RV. The powder-coated finish has held up remarkably well, showing no signs of rust or corrosion, despite exposure to rain, mud, and road salt. Regular cleaning with soap and water is all that’s needed to maintain its appearance and functionality. The tread remains grippy and shows no signs of peeling or deterioration.
Compared to the original step on my RV, the Lippert model is far superior in terms of stability, durability, and overall quality. It provides a much safer and more convenient entry and exit experience. It has exceeded my expectations.
