First Impressions of Konus Konuspro-nv3 3-9×32 Night Vision Riflescope
Night vision technology has always fascinated me. The ability to see clearly in complete darkness opens up a world of possibilities for hunting, security, and observation. The Konus Konuspro-nv3 3-9×32 Night Vision Riflescope promises a compact and lightweight solution for both day and night use, boasting features like interchangeable reticles, color palettes, and photo/video recording.
My primary interest in this riflescope stemmed from the need for a versatile optic that could transition seamlessly between daytime hunting and nighttime varmint control. I was specifically looking for something more portable and less cumbersome than traditional, bulky night vision devices. Could this Konus offering be the answer?
Unboxing the Konuspro-nv3, I was immediately struck by its diminutive size and surprisingly light weight. The build felt reasonably solid, though the plastic housing didn’t exude the premium feel of some higher-end optics. Compared to my ATN X-Sight 4K Pro (which is significantly larger and heavier) and a budget-friendly Sightmark Wraith HD (which lacks daytime capability), the Konuspro-nv3 seemed to strike a middle ground in terms of size and features.
Initially, I was cautiously optimistic. The compact design and feature set were appealing, but I reserved full judgment until I could put it through its paces in the field. Could this lightweight contender deliver the performance I needed, or would its compact size come at the cost of image quality and durability?
Real-World Testing: Putting Konus Konuspro-nv3 3-9×32 Night Vision Riflescope to the Test
First Use Experience
My first outing with the Konus Konuspro-nv3 was a nighttime hog hunt on a friend’s ranch. I mounted it on my AR-15 chambered in .300 Blackout and headed out to a known feeding area. The environment was relatively dark, with only a sliver of moon providing minimal ambient light.
The initial image quality was decent, although not as crisp as I had hoped for. Adjusting the focus and IR illuminator helped improve clarity, allowing me to identify targets at around 75 yards. I was able to harvest a mid-sized boar. The Konuspro-nv3 performed adequately for close-range hunting in moderately dark conditions.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, including multiple hunting trips and range sessions, the Konus Konuspro-nv3 has held up reasonably well. The plastic housing shows a few minor scratches, but the optic itself remains functional. Cleaning is relatively simple, requiring only a lens cloth to remove dust and smudges.
Compared to my higher-end ATN scope, the Konuspro-nv3 definitely falls short in terms of image clarity and overall performance. However, considering the price point and compact size, it offers a reasonable level of functionality. I have found it most useful for close to medium range target acquisition.

Maintenance is straightforward, primarily involving cleaning the lens with a soft cloth.
The long-term durability remains to be seen, but based on my experience so far, I expect it to last for several years with proper care. Its resistance to harsh conditions like extreme cold or water submersion, is untested.
