Let’s Talk About JR Products 07-30485 Lp Tank Pan Standard – Dual Ks
The JR Products 07-30485 Lp Tank Pan Standard – Dual Ks might not be the sexiest piece of RV equipment, but it’s undoubtedly one of the most crucial for safe and reliable propane storage. JR Products, a well-known name in the RV industry, offers this pan as a solution to secure dual LP tanks on towable RVs. Its simple design and ease of installation promise a hassle-free experience, while its white finish aims to blend seamlessly with most RV aesthetics.
My RV travels have taken me through some rough terrain, and the bouncing and jostling raised concerns about the security of my LP tanks. I was searching for a reliable, sturdy, and easy-to-install solution to prevent any potential accidents or damage caused by unsecured tanks. I needed something more robust than the flimsy straps that came standard.
Unboxing the JR Products 07-30485 Lp Tank Pan Standard – Dual Ks, my initial impression was positive. The pan felt solid and well-constructed, definitely not a lightweight, cheap piece of plastic. The white finish looked clean and appeared durable, seemingly resistant to scratches and weathering, though only time will tell for sure.
I considered a few other options, including individual tank mounts and more elaborate cage systems. However, the JR Products pan seemed to strike the right balance between security, ease of installation, and cost-effectiveness. The other systems either required significant modification to my RV’s frame or were simply overkill for my needs.
My first impression was a sense of relief. This seemed like a well-thought-out solution to a problem that had been nagging me for some time. If it performs as expected, the JR Products 07-30485 Lp Tank Pan Standard – Dual Ks could be a small investment that provides significant peace of mind.
Real-World Testing: Putting JR Products 07-30485 Lp Tank Pan Standard – Dual Ks to the Test
First Use Experience
I installed the JR Products 07-30485 Lp Tank Pan Standard – Dual Ks on my travel trailer before a month-long trip through the Rocky Mountains. The installation was surprisingly straightforward, only requiring basic tools and taking about an hour. I tested it immediately on a short, bumpy dirt road near my home.
The pan performed admirably, holding the tanks securely in place even over the rough terrain. There was no noticeable shifting or rattling, a significant improvement over the original setup. I also experienced heavy rain during my trip; the pan didn’t seem to accumulate excessive water, thanks to its open design.
The ease of use was notable; securing and removing the tanks was simple and quick. I didn’t need any special tools or techniques, unlike some more complicated mounting systems I’ve seen. There were no immediate issues after the first use; everything felt solid and well-secured.
Extended Use & Reliability
After a full season of camping, including several long road trips and various weather conditions, the JR Products 07-30485 Lp Tank Pan Standard – Dual Ks has held up remarkably well. There are no signs of cracking or significant wear and tear. The white finish has remained relatively clean, despite exposure to dirt and road grime.
The durability is impressive; the pan hasn’t warped or bent, even with the weight of two full propane tanks bouncing around. Maintenance has been minimal, consisting of occasional cleaning with soap and water. It’s far easier to clean than the area underneath it used to be, now that the tanks are elevated.
Compared to my previous setup (basically nothing!), the JR Products pan is a massive improvement. The peace of mind knowing my propane tanks are securely mounted is invaluable. It definitely outperforms my expectations, providing a solid, reliable, and easy-to-use solution for securing my dual LP tanks.
