Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′ Review

Let’s Talk About Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′

The Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′ isn’t just camouflage; it’s an invitation to become one with your hunting environment. This netting, crafted by Hunters Specialties, promises concealment without sacrificing visibility or airflow. It’s designed to turn any makeshift or permanent blind into an almost invisible extension of the surrounding woods.

I’d grown tired of flimsy, unnatural-looking blind coverings that spooked game more than they concealed me. I needed something durable, breathable, and, most importantly, with a realistic camo pattern. The Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′ appeared to offer the perfect blend of these qualities.

Unboxing it, I was immediately impressed by the texture and print quality. The Realtree Edge pattern looked incredibly lifelike, and the mesh felt robust enough to withstand some serious abuse. It also didn’t have that cheap plastic smell that some synthetic materials possess.

Compared to standard burlap or generic camo tarps, the Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′ seemed a step above. Burlap is heavy, retains moisture, and rots easily. Tarps are noisy and often reflect sunlight, giving away your position. This netting appeared to offer a better balance of concealment, durability, and ease of use.

My initial excitement was high. I felt I had found a product that could genuinely enhance my hunting experience. I couldn’t wait to get it out in the field and see how it performed.

Real-World Testing: Putting Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′ to the Test

First Use Experience

My first test was during early-season archery deer hunting in a densely wooded area. I used the Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′ to reinforce an existing natural blind made of fallen branches and brush. The netting was easy to cut and secure with zip ties.

The performance in the humid, early-morning conditions was excellent. The mesh allowed for ample airflow, preventing the blind from becoming a sweatbox. Most importantly, deer passed within 20 yards without detecting my presence.

I was initially concerned about the tight weave impacting my visibility, but it proved to be a non-issue. I could see clearly while remaining completely concealed. No issues or surprises arose during the initial setup or use.

Extended Use & Reliability

After a full season of use, spanning from early archery through late-season muzzleloader, the Hunters Specialties Blind Material Mesh Netting Realtree Edge 54″x12′ held up remarkably well. There were no rips, tears, or significant fading of the camo pattern. The material resisted the elements and remained pliable even in freezing temperatures.

Maintenance was simple: a quick shake to remove loose debris and occasional rinsing with water to remove mud. Compared to previous experiences with other blind materials that quickly deteriorated, this netting has exceeded my expectations. Its durability and ease of care make it a worthwhile investment.
