Hi-Viz LiteWave Henry Frontier/Golden Boy/Pump Set Red/Green/White Fiber Optic Rifle Sight Review

The Hi-Viz LiteWave Henry Frontier/Golden Boy/Pump Set Red/Green/White Fiber Optic Rifle Sight Made a Bold First Impression

Lever-action rifles like the Henry Frontier and Golden Boy are iconic. Their classic design and smooth action harken back to a bygone era. However, their factory sights can leave something to be desired, especially in less-than-ideal lighting. This is where the Hi-Viz LiteWave Henry Frontier/Golden Boy/Pump Set Red/Green/White Fiber Optic Rifle Sight enters the picture.

I’ve spent countless hours in the field hunting whitetail and small game with my trusty Henry Golden Boy. While I appreciate its inherent accuracy, the traditional iron sights often faded into the shadows during dusk and dawn. The need for improved visibility in low-light conditions pushed me to seek an alternative. The Hi-Viz LiteWave sight promised enhanced visibility with its fiber optic technology.

Upon unboxing, the all-metal construction of the Hi-Viz LiteWave immediately instilled confidence. The sight felt solid and well-made. The included red, green, and white Litepipes offered intriguing customization options. I was impressed with the apparent build quality.

I considered Skinner Sights and a traditional peep sight setup. Ultimately, I chose the Hi-Viz because of its easy installation and the versatility of the interchangeable Litepipes. I believed the fiber optic technology would provide a significant advantage in low light.

My initial impression was one of excitement. The Hi-Viz LiteWave seemed like a simple yet effective solution to a common problem. I couldn’t wait to install it and see how it performed in the field.

Real-World Testing: Putting Hi-Viz LiteWave Henry Frontier/Golden Boy/Pump Set Red/Green/White Fiber Optic Rifle Sight to the Test

First Use Experience

My first test of the Hi-Viz LiteWave was at my local shooting range. I was dialing in the sights on my Henry Golden Boy. The sun was setting, providing a perfect opportunity to test the low-light visibility.

The green Litepipe immediately stood out, providing a clear and bright aiming point. The red and white options also offered improved visibility compared to the factory sights. Accuracy at 50 yards was noticeably better, even for someone with seasoned eyes.

Installation was straightforward, taking only a few minutes with basic tools. However, I noticed the front sight required slight filing for a perfect fit. It’s a minor inconvenience easily resolved.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several months of use, the Hi-Viz LiteWave has proven to be a reliable upgrade. It still provides excellent visibility in various lighting conditions. It’s been exposed to rain, mud, and brush during hunting trips.

The sight has held up well. There are no signs of significant wear and tear. A quick wipe down with a cloth is all it takes to keep it clean.

Compared to my previous experiences with factory sights, the Hi-Viz is a significant improvement. The enhanced visibility makes target acquisition faster and more accurate. My confidence in my Henry Golden Boy has definitely increased.
