The Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 For Glock 45 ACP/10mm Set Green/White Outline Tritium Handgun Sight Made a Bold First Impression
As a seasoned tactical gear specialist, I’ve seen countless handgun sights promising enhanced visibility and performance. But the Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 For Glock 45 ACP/10mm Set Green/White Outline Tritium Handgun Sight immediately piqued my interest, promising a blend of daytime brightness with nighttime tritium illumination. I was determined to see if Hi-Viz could deliver on this “best of both worlds” approach.
My aging eyes were the primary driver for seeking this upgrade; standard sights were becoming harder to acquire quickly in varied lighting conditions. The promise of 24-hour illumination, coupled with the rugged reputation of Hi-Viz products, steered me away from simpler fiber optic or tritium-only alternatives. Upon unboxing, the Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights exuded a feeling of quality. The all-steel construction felt substantial, and the green/white outline of the front sight was remarkably bright, even in ambient light.
Compared to Trijicon HD sights, which offer similar tritium illumination but at a higher price point, the Hi-Viz offered a potentially more affordable entry into enhanced sight technology. XS Sights Big Dot sights prioritize rapid target acquisition over precision, making the Hi-Viz a better fit for my need for a balanced approach. My initial reaction was one of cautious optimism, eager to see how well the sights performed in low-light and dynamic shooting scenarios.
Real-World Testing: Putting Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 For Glock 45 ACP/10mm Set Green/White Outline Tritium Handgun Sight to the Test
First Use Experience
My first range trip with the Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights was a mixed bag of sun and clouds, the perfect condition to gauge their adaptability. I used my Glock 45, chambered in 9mm, though these sights are also compatible with the 10mm, for the testing. Installation was straightforward, requiring only a sight pusher tool.
The green fiber optic front sight popped brilliantly in the daylight, making target acquisition significantly faster than with the stock Glock sights. As the sun dipped behind the clouds, the tritium element began to assert itself, maintaining visibility without being overpowering. There were no immediate issues, however, the crispness of the sight picture was definitely appreciated.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of consistent use, including weekly range sessions and a defensive pistol course, the Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights have proven their worth. The steel construction has held up remarkably well; there are no signs of loosening or damage despite constant slide manipulation and holster draw exercises. Cleaning is a breeze; a quick wipe down with a lightly oiled cloth keeps them looking new.
Compared to my experience with cheaper aftermarket sights that often develop issues with fiber optic inserts or tritium vials, the Hi-Viz sights have shown exceptional reliability. They continue to offer consistent and reliable performance under a wide range of lighting conditions. The Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights have genuinely exceeded my expectations, proving to be a worthwhile upgrade.

These specifications translate to a sight system that is both highly visible and reliable, regardless of the ambient lighting.
Performance & Functionality
The Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights deliver exceptional performance in both daytime and nighttime scenarios. Accuracy is noticeably improved thanks to the clear and distinct sight picture. The bright green fiber optic front sight makes target acquisition rapid and intuitive, even under stress.
The tritium inserts provide ample illumination in low-light conditions without causing excessive bloom or glare. One minor weakness is that the fiber optic brightness can be slightly overwhelming in extremely bright sunlight, though this is easily mitigated by adjusting your shooting position. Overall, the Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights meet and often exceed expectations, providing a significant improvement over stock Glock sights.
Design & Ergonomics
The Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights are built with a focus on both form and function. The all-steel construction feels solid and inspires confidence in its durability. The weight is negligible, adding no noticeable bulk to the handgun.
The sight profile is relatively low, minimizing snagging during holster draw. The user-friendliness of the sights is excellent, requiring minimal adjustment time for experienced shooters. The transition between fiber optic and tritium illumination is seamless.
Durability & Maintenance
The steel construction of the Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights suggests a long lifespan. The tritium vials are warrantied for several years, ensuring consistent nighttime illumination. Maintenance is minimal, requiring only occasional cleaning to remove dirt and debris. The robust design of the sights makes them resistant to damage from recoil, solvents, and other common hazards.
Accessories and Customization Options
The Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 set doesn’t require many additional accessories, as it is a complete sighting solution. However, a quality sight pusher tool is essential for proper installation without damaging the sights or the slide. There are no direct customization options for the Hi-Viz LiteWave H3 sights themselves, but they are compatible with various holster types designed for Glocks. Compatibility with aftermarket Glock slides is generally good, but it’s always wise to confirm fitment before installation.
