First Impressions of H-S Precision H-S Pro-Series PST087 Remington 700 BDL Long Action
The H-S Precision H-S Pro-Series PST087 Remington 700 BDL Long Action stock. It’s a name whispered in hushed tones among precision shooters and respected by law enforcement professionals. This isn’t just a stock; it’s a foundation upon which accuracy is built, a testament to H-S Precision‘s commitment to quality and performance.
For years, I’d been chasing tighter groups with my custom Remington 700 long action. The factory stock, while functional, felt like a limiting factor. I needed something that could provide a stable, consistent platform, and rumors pointed me towards the H-S Precision Pro-Series.
The arrival of the PST087 was met with anticipation. The initial handling revealed a solid, weighty feel, a sense of unyielding stability. The black finish was clean and professional, and the ambidextrous palm swell immediately felt natural in my hand.
Compared to the flimsy, flexible stocks I’d encountered previously, the PST087 felt like a different breed. Other options, like the Bell and Carlson Medalist, offered similar features, but the H-S Precision just exuded a higher level of quality and refinement. I picked this over others because of the reputation and the promise of a truly drop-in fit with minimal gunsmithing.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism. This wasn’t just a cosmetic upgrade; it felt like a serious investment in accuracy. I was excited to see how it would perform at the range and in the field.
