Let’s Dive into Ghost Blind Predator Extenders
The Ghost Blind Predator Extenders from Ghost Blind are designed to enhance the concealment capabilities of your existing Predator Blind. These extenders add an extra 7″ of height, further blending the blind into its surroundings. This can be critical when hunting in areas with varied terrain or taller vegetation.
My hunting grounds have recently become overgrown with taller weeds and brush, making my standard Ghost Blind Predator a bit too short for optimal concealment. I needed a solution to maintain a low profile while still having adequate visibility. The promise of easy installation and seamless integration is what drew me to these extenders.
Upon unboxing, I immediately noticed the lightweight yet durable construction. The extenders feel sturdy, mirroring the quality of the original blind panels. They are simple in design, featuring three pins for secure attachment.
I considered building my own extensions, but the ease of use and guaranteed color match of the Ghost Blind Predator Extenders made them the obvious choice. Compared to other DIY solutions, these offered a professional and reliable solution. My first impression was positive; I was excited to see how they would perform in the field.
Real-World Testing: Putting Ghost Blind Predator Extenders to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Ghost Blind Predator Extenders during a recent turkey hunt in a heavily wooded area bordering a field. The ground cover was thick and uneven. This provided an ideal scenario to evaluate their effectiveness.
The extenders performed admirably in the varying terrain. They allowed me to maintain a concealed position even when sitting on a slight rise. The mirrored panels continued to reflect the surrounding environment effectively, blending seamlessly with the background. Installation took only a few minutes, and I didn’t need any special tools.
The only minor issue was the slightly increased weight of the blind with the extensions attached. However, this was negligible and didn’t significantly impact portability. I found the extra height offered a noticeable improvement in my field of view without compromising concealment.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use in various weather conditions, the Ghost Blind Predator Extenders have proven to be a reliable addition to my hunting setup. The extenders have held up well against light rain and moderate winds. There are no signs of significant wear and tear.
Maintenance is simple; a quick wipe down with a damp cloth is all that’s needed to remove mud or dirt. Compared to my previous experiences with other blinds, the Ghost Blind system, including these extenders, is significantly more effective at blending into the environment. It definitely outperforms other traditional camouflage options.
