Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA Review

The Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA Made a Bold First Impression

For years, I’ve been modifying shotguns, always searching for the optimal balance of maneuverability and control. The Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA promised exactly that for my TR Imports RZ17, a shotgun I use for both home defense drills and occasional sporting clays. It seemed like a significant upgrade over the factory stock, offering enhanced ergonomics and the ability to quickly stow the weapon.

My biggest problem was storage. Standard shotgun length makes it difficult to discreetly keep it accessible in my truck or behind the bedroom door. I wanted a stock that could collapse or fold, shrinking the overall footprint without sacrificing the ability to quickly deploy it.

Upon unboxing, I was immediately impressed with the solid feel of the Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA. The polymer felt dense and durable, not cheap or flimsy. The pistol grip was aggressively textured, offering a secure hold.

I considered several other options, including a similar folding stock from a well-known aftermarket Manufacturer and a fixed pistol grip stock with an adjustable cheek riser. Ultimately, I chose this model for its combination of folding capability, pistol grip ergonomics, and seemingly robust construction at a reasonable price point of $76.99. I had hoped for a product from a more renowned Manufacturer but the price and feature set were too good to pass up.

My initial reaction was excitement tempered with a bit of skepticism, common with aftermarket parts. Would it truly enhance my RZ17, or would it turn out to be another poorly executed accessory? Only real-world testing would tell.

Real-World Testing: Putting Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA to the Test

First Use Experience

My initial testing took place at my local shooting range. I wanted to gauge the improvement in handling and recoil management compared to the standard stock. I ran a variety of drills, including rapid target acquisition, transitioning between multiple targets, and firing from different positions.

The Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA performed surprisingly well during my initial range visit. The pistol grip provided a noticeably more secure and comfortable hold, improving control during rapid fire. The adjustable length of pull allowed me to tailor the stock to my body, enhancing my shooting posture.

However, I noticed that the folding mechanism felt a bit stiff at first. Deploying and stowing the stock required a bit more effort than expected, but I figured it would loosen up with use.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of use, including multiple range sessions and a simulated home defense scenario, the Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA has proven its worth. It has held up remarkably well, showing no significant signs of wear and tear. The polymer construction has resisted scratches and abrasions.

The folding mechanism has indeed loosened up, becoming smoother and easier to operate with regular use. Cleaning has been simple, requiring just a wipe-down with a damp cloth after each range visit. The recoil-absorbing rubber butt pad does a decent job of mitigating felt recoil, although heavier loads still pack a punch.

Compared to my previous experiences with other aftermarket stocks, the Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with TR Imports RZ17 Tactical 12GA has exceeded my expectations. It offers a significant improvement in handling and ergonomics over the factory stock without compromising reliability.
