FN America FN Reflex 9mm Luger 15 Round Extended Floorplate Pistol Magazine Review

First Impressions of FN America FN Reflex 9mm Luger 15 Round Extended Floorplate Pistol Magazine

The FN America FN Reflex 9mm Luger 15 Round Extended Floorplate Pistol Magazine promises increased capacity and enhanced grip for the already impressive FN Reflex pistol. As someone deeply invested in both tactical applications and everyday carry, I was keen to test if this magazine truly elevates the firearm’s performance, or if it’s merely an accessory. My primary concern was finding a magazine that could reliably feed rounds, especially in high-stress situations, while also improving the ergonomics of the pistol for better control.

I have always valued FN America’s commitment to quality and innovation, and I was curious to see if this magazine lived up to the company’s reputation. Upon unboxing, the magazine felt solid and well-constructed, with a reassuring weight that hinted at durable materials. Its extended floorplate seemed thoughtfully designed, promising a more secure and comfortable grip compared to the factory-supplied magazines.

Compared to the standard 11-round magazine that came with my FN Reflex, and aftermarket magazines from ProMag, the FN America FN Reflex 9mm Luger 15 Round Extended Floorplate Pistol Magazine immediately felt more premium. The others felt lighter and less substantial in hand. I chose this FN America magazine hoping for greater reliability and a more positive shooting experience, even if it meant a slightly larger profile.

My first impression was cautiously optimistic. I was excited about the potential for increased capacity and improved ergonomics, but also aware that magazines are often the Achilles’ heel of even the best firearms. Only real-world testing would reveal whether this magazine was a worthy upgrade or just another piece of kit.
