As someone who’s spent over a decade immersed in the world of firearms and tactical gear, I’ve seen trends come and go, but the Five-seveN and its unique cartridge have always held a certain intrigue. The high-velocity, bottlenecked 5.7x28mm round promises flatter trajectories and impressive penetration, so naturally, having reliable magazines is paramount.
My personal journey with the Five-seveN began with a desire for a pistol that offered something different – a departure from the usual 9mm and .45 ACP options I was accustomed to. Reliable magazines are the key to realizing those benefits, and the FN America magazines are the intended solution.
Upon unboxing, the magazine feels robust, constructed from a quality polymer that inspires confidence. It’s lightweight, as expected, and the molding is clean, without any noticeable imperfections. I chose this particular magazine because I trust the FN America brand, and I wanted to ensure optimal performance and reliability with my Five-seveN pistol. Many aftermarket options exist, but in my experience, sticking with factory magazines is always the safest bet for consistent feeding and function. My initial impression is positive; this magazine feels like a solid piece of equipment that will stand up to the rigors of regular use.
