The Fisher Space Pen Eclipse Space Pen with NASA Meatball Logo isn’t just a writing instrument; it’s a tangible piece of space exploration history, brought down to Earth for everyday use. Manufactured by Fisher Space Pen, this pen combines the reliability of their pressurized ink cartridges with a sleek, modern design featuring the iconic NASA Meatball logo, a symbol of dreams reaching for the stars.
What drew me to the Eclipse Space Pen was the need for a dependable writing tool that could withstand the rigors of outdoor adventures and tactical scenarios. I wanted something that wouldn’t fail me in challenging conditions, unlike the typical ballpoint pens that often skip or leak. The fact that it bears the NASA Meatball logo was a massive bonus, aligning with my fascination for space exploration and adding a unique element of cool to a practical tool.
Unboxing the Fisher Space Pen Eclipse Space Pen with NASA Meatball Logo revealed a surprisingly lightweight pen, constructed from shiny black plastic with matte black accents. The pocket clip felt secure, and the overall build quality appeared solid for a pen in this price range.
Compared to other tactical pens I’ve used, like the Smith & Wesson Tactical Pen (for its glass-breaking capabilities) and the UZI Tactical Defender Pen (known for its robust aluminum body), the Eclipse Space Pen prioritizes writing performance and historical significance over sheer brute force or self-defense applications. I chose the Fisher Space Pen Eclipse Space Pen with NASA Meatball Logo for its unwavering reliability and the subtle nod to human ingenuity.
