First String Crossbow String 1201864 Review

First Impressions of First String Crossbow String 1201864

In the world of archery, particularly crossbow hunting, the string is the lifeline of your equipment. It’s the crucial link that transfers energy from the drawn bow to the arrow, dictating accuracy, power, and overall performance. Enter the First String Crossbow String 1201864, a replacement string promising superior performance and reliability. First String aims to deliver a string that eliminates common issues like serving separation and creep, promising a consistently accurate shot every time.

My journey to find the First String Crossbow String 1201864 started with a nagging problem. My previous string, after a season of heavy use, was exhibiting significant serving separation, leading to inconsistent arrow flight. I needed a string that could withstand the rigors of regular hunting and target practice, while maintaining its integrity and performance over time.

Upon receiving the First String Crossbow String 1201864, my first impression was positive. The string felt robust and well-constructed, exhibiting a tight weave and a smooth, uniform serving. Its weight seemed appropriate, hinting at the quality materials used in its manufacture.

Compared to other crossbow strings I’ve used in the past, the First String appeared to have a tighter, more durable serving. I have previously used strings from Barnett and TenPoint, but both suffered from serving separation issues after only a few months of use. This initial observation made me hopeful that the First String would prove to be a more durable and reliable option.

My initial reaction was cautiously optimistic. The build quality seemed excellent, and the claims of “no serving separation” and “no creep or stretch” were certainly appealing. The proof, however, would be in the performance, and I was eager to put the First String Crossbow String 1201864 to the test.

The range provided ideal conditions for testing, with a clear shooting lane and multiple targets set at varying distances. Even in the slightly damp morning air, the string performed admirably. After about 50 shots, there was no noticeable fraying or serving separation, which was a promising start.

Using the First String Crossbow String 1201864 felt surprisingly intuitive. The string’s pre-waxed finish helped it glide smoothly along the rail, reducing friction and minimizing noise. There were no unexpected twangs, vibrations, or unusual sounds.
