The Fiocchi Specialty Shotgun Shells 32 Gauge 1/2oz 2.5in 6 Shot Shotgun Ammunition
32PL16 35% Off presents a unique offering in the shotgun ammunition market. Specifically designed for 32-gauge shotguns, a less common chambering, these shells promise reliable performance with a 1/2oz load of #6 shot. The Fiocchi brand is known for quality, and the current 35% discount makes these shells particularly attractive to those who own or are considering a 32-gauge shotgun.
My foray into the world of 32-gauge shotguns began with a vintage side-by-side inherited from my grandfather. Sourcing ammunition for it proved challenging, with limited options available at local stores. The scarcity of 32-gauge shells online also drove me to seek alternatives to custom hand-loading.
Upon receiving the Fiocchi shells, the packaging immediately impressed. The vibrant box showcased the Fiocchi name with clear labeling detailing the shell’s specifications. The shells themselves were clean, consistently crimped, and appeared well-made, inspiring confidence in their reliability.
Compared to other shotgun ammunition, the Fiocchi 32-gauge shells stand out simply by existing. Most manufacturers focus on more popular gauges like 12, 20, and .410, but these shells cater to a niche market. I was choosing these shells over expensive, custom-loaded alternatives.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism mixed with relief. Finding reliable ammunition for an older shotgun can be a daunting task, and the Fiocchi Specialty Shotgun Shells seemed to offer a viable solution at an appealing price point. The anticipation to test them at the range was palpable, eager to breathe new life into my grandfather’s cherished shotgun.

First Use Experience
I tested the Fiocchi Specialty Shotgun Shells at my local shooting range, focusing on patterning and function in my vintage 32-gauge side-by-side. The range offered a controlled environment to assess the shells’ consistency and performance. The mild autumn weather provided ideal conditions.
The Fiocchi shells performed admirably, cycling smoothly through the action of my shotgun. Recoil was manageable, even for extended shooting sessions, which is essential for comfortable and accurate target acquisition. There were no observed failures to eject or misfires during the initial testing.
Using a target at 25 yards, the #6 shot yielded a consistent and even pattern. The spread was suitable for small game hunting and clay target shooting. Initial impressions suggested these shells would be a reliable choice for their intended purposes.
There were no immediate issues, but I noted that the shells produced slightly more smoke than some premium brands I have used in other gauges. This observation was minor and did not detract from the overall positive experience.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of regular use, the Fiocchi shells have proven to be consistently reliable. I have fired over 200 rounds through my 32-gauge without experiencing any malfunctions. The shells continue to perform as expected in varying weather conditions.
I’ve observed no significant wear and tear on my shotgun attributable to the use of these shells. Cleaning the shotgun after each shooting session is straightforward. Regular maintenance involves cleaning the barrels and action with standard gun cleaning solvents and lubricants.
Compared to my previous experiences with hand-loaded ammunition for the 32-gauge, the Fiocchi shells offer a significant improvement in consistency and convenience. The consistent patterns and reliable ignition provide greater confidence in the field. These shells outperform some more expensive options I have tested, offering a tremendous value proposition.
