First Use Experience
I initially tested the Fiocchi Field Dynamics .30-06 165 Grain PSP ammunition at my local shooting range. The weather was mild with a slight breeze, providing ideal conditions for accuracy testing. I used a bolt-action rifle with a 22-inch barrel and a 3-9×40 scope.
The ammunition performed admirably. Recoil was manageable and consistent with other .30-06 loads I’ve fired. I experienced no malfunctions – every round chambered, fired, and ejected smoothly.
It took a few rounds to dial in my scope. Once I found the sweet spot, I achieved consistent 1.5-inch groups at 100 yards. The first-time use gave a good impression.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of use, encompassing numerous range sessions and a deer hunting season, the Fiocchi Field Dynamics .30-06 165 Grain PSP ammunition has proven to be quite reliable. I fired approximately 200 rounds without a single misfire or failure to eject. The chronograph results were consistently close to the advertised 2800 FPS.

I’ve reloaded some of the brass twice now, and they’re still holding up nicely. Cleaning my rifle after using this ammunition was no different than after using other brands.
Compared to some premium hunting loads I’ve used in the past, this Fiocchi ammunition certainly holds its own. While it might not deliver the absolute tightest groups or the flattest trajectory, its consistency and reliability make it a very strong contender, especially considering the cost savings. It exceeded my expectations as a reliable, budget-friendly option.
