Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet Review

Let’s Talk About Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet

The Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet is a compact and versatile lighting solution. Offered by Fasteners Unlimited, these small LED lights are designed for various applications where space is limited but reliable illumination is required. They are a simple, efficient way to add lighting to a project, vehicle, or any area needing a small, bright light source.

My journey to discovering the Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet began with a personal project. I was retrofitting my overland trailer with auxiliary lighting and needed a discreet marker light solution. Space was at a premium, and I needed something durable, reliable, and easily installed, so standard trailer lights were simply too bulky.

Upon receiving the Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet, I was struck by its diminutive size. The build quality appeared robust, with a solid housing and a tightly fitted grommet. It felt more substantial than its size would suggest.

I initially considered several alternatives, including generic LED marker lights from online marketplaces. I also looked at more expensive, name-brand options from off-road lighting specialists. Ultimately, the combination of the Fasteners Unlimited brand reputation, the light’s compact size, and the integrated grommet for easy installation led me to choose this product.

My first impression was positive, though tempered with a bit of skepticism about the actual brightness. I was excited about the potential applications, but the small size made me wonder if the 60 Lumen Output would be sufficient for my needs. It was a calculated risk, but one I hoped would pay off.

Real-World Testing: Putting Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet to the Test

First Use Experience

I first tested the Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet on my aforementioned overland trailer project. This involved installing several lights as marker lights along the trailer’s sides and rear. The installation was straightforward, requiring only a correctly sized hole for the grommet and a simple two-wire connection.

The lights were tested in a variety of conditions ranging from bright daylight to heavy rain. The 60 Lumen Output proved surprisingly effective as a marker light, easily visible even in direct sunlight. The lights maintained consistent brightness in both wet and dry conditions.

The installation process was simple: drill, insert, and wire. The grommet made for a snug and secure fit, and no additional sealant was needed. I didn’t have to consult any complicated instructions to use them.

My initial surprise was the light’s intensity for its size. The 60 Lumen Output seemed brighter than I anticipated, making it an effective marker light even in challenging conditions. I also noted that the light was very directional, which, depending on the use case, could be an advantage or a disadvantage.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several months of use, the Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet has proven remarkably reliable. There are no signs of fading, flickering, or any other degradation in performance. The lights have been subjected to significant vibration and jarring during off-road travel, and they’ve held up without issue.

The lights have shown no signs of wear and tear, despite exposure to the elements and rough handling. The housing remains intact, the lens is clear, and the grommet is still pliable and secure. Periodic cleaning with a damp cloth is all that’s required to keep them looking and functioning like new.

The Fasteners Unlimited Bullet LED Light with Grommet outperforms my expectations. I had initially considered replacing them with higher-output lights, but their performance has been more than adequate. They provide reliable, consistent illumination in a compact and durable package.
