The Evolved Booger Sugar / Molasses / 5lb Made a Bold First Impression
The Evolved Booger Sugar / Molasses / 5lb isn’t your typical hunting accessory; it’s a promise. A promise of drawing in the big bucks, the does, and the entire herd to a single location, ensuring a successful hunt and a healthier deer population. I’ve seen attractants come and go, each claiming to be the best, but the name alone of this product from Evolved intrigued me.
I’ve spent countless hours tracking deer, observing their habits, and strategizing the perfect setup. The biggest challenge is always consistent attraction, finding a product that keeps them coming back for more, and provides them with essential minerals. That’s why I decided to put the Evolved Booger Sugar / Molasses / 5lb to the test.
Unboxing it, the first thing that hits you is the potent molasses aroma. It’s a sweet, earthy scent that screams “deer magnet.” The block itself, dense and heavy, speaks to a quality composition, hinting at the mineral-rich goodness within.
Compared to a salt lick I’ve used in the past, which was purely sodium-based, the Booger Sugar promises a more comprehensive nutritional profile. Against a simple corn-based attractant, which often lacks essential minerals, this appeared to be a more complete solution. My initial impression was optimistic; this wasn’t just bait, it was an investment in the herd’s well-being.
Real-World Testing: Putting Evolved Booger Sugar / Molasses / 5lb to the Test
First Use Experience
I deployed the Evolved Booger Sugar / Molasses / 5lb in a heavily wooded area bordering a known deer trail near my hunting blind. The area was relatively dry, but recent rains had left the ground slightly damp, perfect for allowing the molasses scent to permeate the air. I simply placed the block near an old stump, hoping for immediate action.
Within 24 hours, the game camera showed signs of activity. A doe and her fawn cautiously approached the block, giving it a hesitant lick. Over the next few days, the activity increased dramatically, with multiple deer visiting the site, some even pawing at the ground around the block, suggesting a strong interest in the minerals.
The ease of use was exceptional; just place it and wait. No mixing, no spreading, just a solid block of deer-attracting goodness. There were no initial issues, just a steady stream of deer traffic and hopeful anticipation for the upcoming hunting season.
Extended Use & Reliability
After a month of exposure to the elements, the Evolved Booger Sugar / Molasses / 5lb block was noticeably smaller, but still intact. The rain had softened the outer layer, making it even more accessible to the deer. The continued influx of deer confirmed its ongoing effectiveness as an attractant.
The block showed no signs of mold or disintegration, a testament to its quality composition. Despite constant licking and pawing, it maintained its structural integrity, slowly dissolving over time. Compared to cheaper mineral blocks I’ve used, which often crumble and wash away, this Evolved product proved to be significantly more durable.
Maintenance was non-existent, which is a huge plus. No need to replenish or replace, simply let the deer enjoy, and the game camera record. This hands-off approach is ideal for busy hunters who want maximum results with minimal effort.
