First Impressions of European American Armory (EAA) EAA Girsan Witness Full SizeHandgun Magazine 9mm Luger 25/rd DB7747DF
The European American Armory (EAA) EAA Girsan Witness Full SizeHandgun Magazine 9mm Luger 25/rd DB7747DF promises to be a high-capacity solution for Witness owners. As someone who’s spent years in the tactical gear world, I’m always looking for ways to improve a firearm’s capabilities, and a higher-capacity magazine certainly piqued my interest. A reliable, high-capacity magazine can be a game-changer for range days, competition, or even defensive scenarios.
My interest was sparked by the need for increased capacity without sacrificing reliability. Standard capacity magazines can leave you wanting more, especially during extended shooting sessions. I was looking for something that could reduce reloads and extend my time on the range.
Upon receiving the magazine, I immediately noted its robust construction. The steel felt solid and well-finished, giving an initial impression of durability. Compared to standard-capacity magazines, the extended length was noticeable, but not unwieldy. I had considered other high-capacity magazines, but this one seemed to offer the best balance of capacity and price.
Initially, I was excited about the potential for increased firepower and reduced reload times. I also had some reservations, mainly concerning reliability and potential feeding issues that can sometimes plague high-capacity magazines. It remained to be seen whether it would live up to the hype.
Real-World Testing: Putting European American Armory (EAA) EAA Girsan Witness Full SizeHandgun Magazine 9mm Luger 25/rd DB7747DF to the Test
First Use Experience
The first test took place at my local shooting range. I wanted a controlled environment to assess the magazine’s performance. I ran several drills, focusing on rapid firing and magazine changes.
The magazine performed admirably in dry conditions. Loading was smooth, and feeding was consistent without any jams. I did notice that it took slightly more effort to seat the magazine when fully loaded, which is to be expected with a higher spring tension.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, the European American Armory (EAA) EAA Girsan Witness Full SizeHandgun Magazine 9mm Luger 25/rd DB7747DF has held up well. There are no visible signs of significant wear and tear. I regularly clean and lubricate my magazines, and this one seems relatively easy to maintain.
One minor issue is that the finish has started to show slight wear around the feed lips. However, this hasn’t affected its performance. Compared to some other high-capacity magazines I’ve used, this one is considerably more reliable.
