The EOTech Vudu Rifle Scope, 8-32x50mm, 34mm Tube, is a precision instrument designed for long-range competitive and recreational shooting. Built by EOTech, a name synonymous with quality optics, this scope promises clarity, accuracy, and durability. Its high magnification range and precise adjustments make it an attractive option for serious shooters seeking to push their limits.
I’ve been searching for a scope that could truly maximize the potential of my custom-built precision rifle. My aging optic, while reliable, simply couldn’t deliver the clarity and fine-tuning needed for consistent sub-MOA groups at extended distances. The EOTech Vudu seemed to offer the perfect blend of optical performance and user-friendly adjustments.
Upon unboxing, the Vudu immediately impressed with its solid feel and sleek design. The anodized finish looked robust, and the turrets clicked with satisfying precision. The included throw lever and sunshade were welcome additions, indicating EOTech’s attention to detail.
I considered the Nightforce ATACR 7-35×56 and the Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27×56. Ultimately, I chose the EOTech Vudu due to its competitive turret design and the brand’s reputation for ruggedness. I was excited to see if it lived up to the hype.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism. The scope felt well-made, but the real test would be its performance on the range.
Real-World Testing: Putting EOTech Vudu Rifle Scope, 8-32x50mm, 34mm Tube, to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the EOTech Vudu at my local shooting range, focusing on targets at 300, 600, and 800 yards. Conditions were ideal, with clear skies and minimal wind. The scope was mounted on a .308 precision rifle.
The Vudu performed admirably, even in the bright sunlight. The image was clear and crisp throughout the magnification range, and the .125 MOA adjustments proved incredibly precise when zeroing the rifle. Acquiring a sight picture was quick and easy.
Initially, the fine turret adjustments took some getting used to. However, once I grasped the system, making precise corrections became second nature. There were no unexpected issues.

After several months of regular use, the EOTech Vudu has proven to be a reliable and durable optic. It has maintained its zero through numerous range sessions. I haven’t babied it; it’s seen its share of bumps and jostles.
