Real-World Testing: Putting Eberlestock Recon Quick Case, Military Green, – 1 out of 4 models to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Eberlestock Recon Quick Case, Military Green, – 1 out of 4 models during a scouting trip in the Cascade Mountains. I used it to carry a small survival kit, including a fire starter, water purification tablets, a small knife, and a signal mirror. The pouch was attached to my Recon Bino Harness as intended.
The weather was initially dry, but a light rain began later in the day. The Quick Case offered reasonable protection against the elements, keeping the contents dry. It was easy to access the contents even with gloved hands.
Using the pouch was intuitive. The hook and loop attachment was secure, and the zipper operated smoothly. I found the size to be ideal for the specific items I wanted to carry.
The only minor issue was that the pouch added a slight amount of bulk to the front of the bino harness. This wasn’t a major problem, but it was noticeable.
