Let’s Talk About DOMETIC Revolution 321 Series Toilet
The DOMETIC Revolution 321 Series Toilet offers a blend of lightweight design and functional features tailored for the RV lifestyle. Manufactured by DOMETIC, a trusted name in RV appliances, this toilet aims to provide a comfortable and efficient solution for waste management in compact spaces. Its uni-style ceramic bowl and full-sized wooden seat give it a residential feel, while its ergonomic flush pedal promises ease of use.
I needed a toilet that was both lightweight and space-saving for a recent RV renovation project. The older toilet took up too much room and added unnecessary weight. I wanted a toilet that wouldn’t break the bank but still offered reliable performance.
Upon unboxing, I was immediately struck by the sleek design and the surprisingly solid feel of the ceramic bowl. The wooden seat felt comfortable and well-made. It certainly felt like an upgrade from the standard plastic RV toilets I’ve seen.
I considered the Thetford Aqua-Magic V and the Sealand 510 Plus before ultimately choosing the DOMETIC Revolution 321 Series Toilet. The Aqua-Magic V felt a bit too plasticky, and the Sealand 510 Plus was pricier. The DOMETIC seemed to offer the best balance of features and value.
My first impression was excitement, mixed with a bit of skepticism common to any RV modification. Could something so seemingly simple truly improve the RV experience? Time would tell.
Real-World Testing: Putting DOMETIC Revolution 321 Series Toilet to the Test
First Use Experience
I installed the DOMETIC Revolution 321 Series Toilet in my travel trailer during a weekend trip to a dispersed camping spot in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The site was off-grid, so reliable water usage was crucial. I experienced no issues, even when temperatures dipped below freezing at night.
The toilet performed flawlessly in both dry and slightly humid conditions. The single-pedal flush was intuitive, providing a consistent and effective cleaning action. I found it incredibly easy to control the amount of water used per flush, conserving precious resources.
The installation process was relatively straightforward, requiring only basic plumbing skills and readily available tools. After a brief learning curve in adjusting the water pressure, the toilet was intuitive to use. There were no surprises or issues following its initial use.
Extended Use & Reliability
After six months of regular use on various camping trips and weekend getaways, the DOMETIC Revolution 321 Series Toilet has proven to be a dependable addition to my RV. It has encountered various conditions, from dry desert climates to damp coastal environments. It has consistently performed well.
The ceramic bowl remains stain-free and easy to clean with standard RV toilet cleaners. The wooden seat shows no signs of wear, and the flush mechanism continues to operate smoothly. I’ve followed the DOMETIC recommended maintenance guidelines, which primarily involve occasional cleaning and lubrication.
Compared to previous RV toilets I’ve used, the DOMETIC stands out for its combination of comfort, water efficiency, and ease of cleaning. Cheaper models often feel flimsy and require more frequent maintenance. The DOMETIC truly delivered on its promise of providing a more residential toilet experience in a mobile setting.
