Let’s Talk About DeSantis Super Fly Pocket Holster, Kahr P380 w/ LG – 1 out of 18 models
Pocket carry. For years, I’ve debated its practicality, its safety, and its overall effectiveness. The DeSantis Super Fly Pocket Holster, Kahr P380 w/ LG – 1 out of 18 models promised to be a solution, a way to comfortably and discreetly carry my Kahr P380 with a laser guard, a small firearm perfect for deep concealment. DeSantis is a well-known name in the holster world, and the Super Fly claimed to offer superior stickiness and concealment capabilities, which immediately piqued my interest.
My daily routine often involves environments where open carry is not feasible or desirable. I needed a reliable, low-profile option for carrying my Kahr P380, and pocket carry seemed like the most logical choice. I was primarily searching for a holster that would stay put in my pocket during movement, completely obscure the firearm’s outline, and allow for a smooth, consistent draw.
Upon receiving the DeSantis Super Fly Pocket Holster, my first impression was positive. The sticky, rubberized outer material felt incredibly secure to the touch, while the interior felt smooth and slick. The holster was surprisingly lightweight, and the construction appeared to be robust, suggesting it could withstand the rigors of daily use.
I considered several pocket holsters before deciding on the Super Fly. The Sticky Holsters MD-1 was a close contender, but I was concerned about its long-term durability. The Aholster Pocket Backbone offered good trigger protection, but it seemed less concealable. The DeSantis Super Fly won out due to its reputation for stickiness and the added concealment flap.
Initially, I was cautiously optimistic. Pocket carry had always felt like a compromise, but the DeSantis Super Fly Pocket Holster seemed to offer a level of security and concealment that I hadn’t experienced before. I was eager to see how it performed in real-world situations.
