Let’s Talk About DeSantis 1 1/2In Reversible Ccw Belt, Size 32, – 1 out of 17 models
The DeSantis 1 1/2In Reversible CCW Belt, Size 32 is more than just a way to keep your pants up; it’s a critical piece of gear for anyone serious about concealed carry. Crafted by DeSantis, a name synonymous with quality holsters and accessories, this belt promises to provide the necessary support and stability for comfortable and secure concealed carry, all while offering the versatility of a reversible design. This particular model, a size 32, is designed to fit individuals with a corresponding waist size, ensuring a snug and reliable fit.
I was drawn to this belt because my existing belt, a department store leather number, was simply not cutting it when I started carrying a heavier firearm. The sagging, discomfort, and printing were unacceptable. I needed a belt that could handle the weight and provide a stable platform for my holster, without sacrificing comfort or concealability.
Upon receiving the DeSantis 1 1/2In Reversible CCW Belt, Size 32, I was immediately impressed by the heft and rigidity. The dual-layer leather construction felt substantial, and the stitching appeared clean and robust. It definitely felt like a step up in quality compared to my previous, flimsy belt.
I considered belts from Galco and CrossBreed, both reputable brands in the CCW world. Ultimately, I chose the DeSantis belt due to its reversible design and the promise of a built-in stiffener. The reversible feature gives it a dual purpose, and I can use it for dress occasions.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism. It felt sturdy and well-made, but the true test would be how it performed under the weight of a firearm and holster during daily wear. I was excited to see if it lived up to the hype and solved my concealed carry woes.
Real-World Testing: Putting DeSantis 1 1/2In Reversible Ccw Belt, Size 32, – 1 out of 17 models to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the DeSantis 1 1/2In Reversible CCW Belt, Size 32 at my local shooting range during a weekly training session. I wore it with my Glock 19 in a Kydex IWB (Inside the Waistband) holster.
The belt performed admirably, providing excellent support and preventing the holster from sagging or shifting during dynamic movements. Even in the humid conditions of the indoor range, the belt remained comfortable and didn’t become overly sweaty or uncomfortable. There was no getting used to the belt.
The only initial issue was a slight stiffness, which made threading it through my belt loops a bit challenging, but I knew that would improve with break-in. It was a minor inconvenience given the overall improved comfort and support.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of consistent wear, the DeSantis 1 1/2In Reversible CCW Belt, Size 32 has proven to be a reliable and durable piece of gear. The leather has softened slightly, making it more comfortable to wear for extended periods, while still retaining its rigidity and support.
I’ve worn it daily, in various conditions ranging from hot and humid summer days to cool and dry fall evenings. There are only minor signs of wear and tear, mainly some slight creasing in the leather around the buckle.
Cleaning is simple; I wipe it down with a damp cloth and occasionally apply leather conditioner to keep it supple. Compared to my previous experience with flimsy belts that stretched and sagged within weeks, the DeSantis belt has far exceeded my expectations.
