Let’s Dive into Conquest Scents Hunters Pack, VS-1 Stick, Ever Calm Attractant Stick
The Conquest Scents Hunters Pack, VS-1 Stick, Ever Calm Attractant Stick promises to be a game-changer for hunters looking to tip the odds in their favor. Marketed as a comprehensive scent solution, the pack combines an estrus attractant with a calming scent, theoretically covering both the “come hither” and “all clear” signals in the deer world. As a seasoned hunter with over a decade of experience, I’m always skeptical of these “magic bullet” products, but also eager to find anything that legitimately improves my chances of success.
My biggest frustration during the rut is the unpredictable behavior of mature bucks; one minute they’re chasing does, the next they’re nowhere to be found. I hoped the Conquest Scents Hunters Pack, VS-1 Stick, Ever Calm Attractant Stick would provide a more consistent way to draw them in, and keep them comfortable enough to stick around.
Upon unboxing, I immediately noticed the solid, wax-stick format. This struck me as ingenious. The stick applicator eliminates spills and minimizes scent contamination, a huge plus over traditional liquid scents. Compared to Tink’s #69 or Wildlife Research Center Special Golden Estrus, which are liquid-based and prone to leakage, the Conquest Scents‘ solid form felt much more practical and controllable. Initial impressions were positive; the scents were strong but not overpowering, and the application method seemed incredibly convenient.
I picked the Conquest Scents Hunters Pack, VS-1 Stick, Ever Calm Attractant Stick over other scent combinations due to the unique “Ever Calm” calming scent. Many attractants focus solely on sexual attraction, but the idea of creating a mock bedding area, a zone of relaxation, appealed to my understanding of deer behavior. It felt like a more holistic approach. I was excited to see if the combination of attractant and calming scent could truly trick a mature buck into letting his guard down.
Real-World Testing: Putting Conquest Scents Hunters Pack, VS-1 Stick, Ever Calm Attractant Stick to the Test
First Use Experience
My first test of the Conquest Scents Hunters Pack, VS-1 Stick, Ever Calm Attractant Stick took place during the pre-rut phase in mid-October in the hardwood forests of Northern Wisconsin. I applied the VS-1 Stick to several licking branches and mock scrapes around my stand, while dabbing the Ever Calm scent on the ground in a roughly 10-yard radius. The weather was cool and slightly damp, ideal for scent dispersal.
I appreciated the ease of application, as the stick format allowed precise placement without any mess. Within the first hour, a young doe cautiously approached the area, sniffing the ground where I had applied the Ever Calm. Later that afternoon, a decent 8-point buck cruised through, paying particular attention to one of the VS-1 treated licking branches. While I didn’t get a shot, his behavior suggested the scents were doing their job.
There were no immediate issues with the product itself; it performed as advertised in terms of application and scent dispersal. The only surprise was the immediate interest from a doe, which I hadn’t expected with an estrus attractant.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use throughout the rut and into the post-rut, the Conquest Scents Hunters Pack, VS-1 Stick, Ever Calm Attractant Stick proved to be a reliable addition to my hunting arsenal. Both sticks maintained their scent strength well, even after exposure to rain and fluctuating temperatures. I observed increased deer activity around my scent locations compared to areas where I didn’t use the product, though attributing that entirely to the scents is difficult.
The wax sticks showed minimal wear and tear, easily lasting through an entire hunting season. Maintenance was non-existent; there was no need for cleaning or special storage. Compared to my previous experiences with liquid scents that often evaporate or become contaminated, the Conquest Scents sticks were a significant upgrade in terms of convenience and longevity. While I didn’t witness any miraculous buck encounters, the consistent increase in deer attention suggested the scents were providing a tangible advantage.
