Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow Review

Let’s Talk About Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow

The Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow promises to be a game-changer for crossbow hunters. These nocks, designed by Clean-Shot, aim to improve visibility and arrow retrieval in low-light conditions. The universal design, accommodating most standard crossbow bolts with included bushings, sets it apart. And the practice mode – a simple yet ingenious way to conserve battery life – really piqued my interest.

Years of experience in the field have taught me the importance of a well-lit nock for ethical and efficient hunting. So when I saw the Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow offering a tool-free design at an affordable price of $34.99, I had to put it to the test.

Upon unboxing, the immediate impression was one of simplicity. The nocks felt lightweight and the included bushings gave me confidence that they’d fit my bolts. My initial thought was, “Finally, a lighted nock that doesn’t require a PhD in engineering to install and use!”

I’ve previously used the Lumenok and the Carbon Express Launchpad lighted nocks. I chose the Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow for its tool-less operation and the practice mode to save battery. The others required tools or magnets to turn off the light, a real pain in the field. First impressions were positive; I was excited to see how these performed during twilight hunts.

Real-World Testing: Putting Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow to the Test

First Use Experience

My first opportunity to test the Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow came during a late-season deer hunt in the Allegheny National Forest. I tested them during the last hour of daylight and into the twilight hours. The conditions were damp and cold, typical for Pennsylvania in December.

Installation was incredibly straightforward, thanks to the variety of bushings. No fumbling with tiny screws or magnets in the cold! The light activated immediately upon firing, and the visibility was excellent. Even against the backdrop of dense woods, I could easily track the arrow’s flight path.

The biggest surprise was how easy it was to turn off the nock after retrieval. No special tools are needed! You just pull the nock straight back until it clicks.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of using the Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow during target practice and multiple hunting trips, they’ve held up remarkably well. The nocks still light up consistently and are just as bright as when I first installed them. The tool-less on/off design has proven to be a significant time-saver in the field.

I did notice some minor scratching on the plastic casing after repeated impacts with the target. However, this cosmetic wear hasn’t affected the performance. Cleaning is also very simple; a quick wipe with a damp cloth is all it takes.

Compared to other lighted nocks I’ve used, the Clean-Shot Nock Out Crossbow Lighted Nock Xbow outperforms them in ease of use and battery management. The practice mode is an absolute game-changer, allowing me to practice without draining the battery. This is something other lighted nocks completely lack.
